Lillan Gorillan is a Swedish brand offering playful, unisex, easy-to-wear organic clothing for 0-6s and all their adventures.
Featuring original prints and colour, Lillan Gorillan is inspired by the Swedish concept of busig. Pronounced 'buu-sic', to be busic is to be mischievous and a little bit rascally. Naughty, but cute too.
This brand doesn’t like rules. They blow raspberries at gender stereotypes and stick their tongues out at convention. They believe the only boxes kids should be put in are the make-believe cardboard spaceship kind. Accordingly, the entire range is unisex, the fun illustrations are unique and original, and all pieces are designed to withstand epic adventures.
The collection of short and long sleeve t-shirts, leggings, shorts, jogging trousers and soft jeans are created to last and be passed down and on. Product designs include clever details to ensure pieces can be worn longer - little ankle cuffs on jersey pants, folded up jeans with stretch waists. That doesn’t just mean less shopping (when you could be having fun!), importantly it means lower environmental costs. Lillan Gorillan love the planet. The majority of their clothes are made from GOTS certified organic cotton.
Lillan Gorillan is the creation of Swedish mama Kristin Enstrom. A mischievous little tomboy, her brother gave her the nickname 'little gorilla’. A former model, she honed her sense of style and eye for design on the catwalk. When Kristin had her baby gorilla she realised there were few children’s wear brands she wanted to dress him in. So, she started her own, of course!
