AUTUMN CRAFTS
Walnut Shell Animals, such a sweet craft to do with the kids!
My daughter is going to Steiner (Waldorf) School and every year in November there is Martinsmarkt, which is a special 2-day event with different kinds of activities held in almost all the classrooms. And all families participate. Last year we had to either buy or create little treasures for the Fishing Game. They had to ...

Sweet shadow boxes from Dorimu
Last year I was introduced to Živa and Saša of the small Austrian company Dorimu, who together create darling, whimsical swinging fairies. Entirely made by hand by combining a detailed level of woodworking and needle-felting, the fairies are so delicate and sweet. Now, Dorimu also offers the most precious shadow boxes. Again, entirely made by ...

The seasonal table, and felt ornaments from Crafspring. For decoration or play!
We love having a seasonal table set up in our house. We gather finds from nature, and we display them together with some sweet felt or wooden artefacts. I have boxes in storage marked 'Autumn', 'Halloween', 'Christmas', etc. -- and it's such a fun event every season, to rediscover what's inside and create a new ...

The mamas behind this collection have a sweet but meaningful story to ...

Craft Tutorial: Peg dolls with hair!
I’m so glad we picked so many treasures in the forest throughout the autumn because there’s not much more outside to see (or pick) as everything here in the southern part of Germany is now covered in snow! Do you also do that? Pick different types and shapes of sticks, leaves, acorn hats, cones etc. ...

Whimsical felted fairies from Dorimu
Živa and Saša from Dorimu are a sweet couple from Austria who together create the most whimsical little works of art -- tiny (tiny!) little needle-felted fairies. Made from wire, thread and wool and with details made of pearls, the little fairies are so stunningly beautiful. They sit on little pieces of driftwood, and have a clever ...

Waldorf Window Star
I’m not very sure about where I first saw the Waldorf Star but I liked it so much (and it looked easy to make ;) that I decided to give it a try. But after the first one I was obsessed! It’s truly one of the simplest things I have ever made and it looks ...

Darling, handmade Waldorf dolls by Stella By Rosa
When I was giving the pillowcase stamping workshop at the Yvestown Fair / Snor Festival a few weeks ago, my eyes kept wandering away to the Stellabyrosa stall next to me, full of the most delicate and wonderful Waldorf dolls. Rosa, the creator of the dolls, told me about how she couldn't find the right kind of ...

Bring meaning to your life. With Love Darling is the first jewellery company to have interpreted the UN Global goals by way of a dedicated collection. At @withlovedarling “we have set out to create a community around our jewellery, curating an experience to live & breathe the Global Goals. Our jewellery is aesthetically pleasing... but also carries a deep rooted meaning and symbolism. It has a higher intrinsic value which is over and above the gold value, as customers increasingly desire to contribute to #sustainability . Our pieces are made in workshops employing #refugees and displaced persons - giving these people an income, a future and hope.” Pretty amazing, huh? Oh wait, they also have a 25% off deal this month, link in bio. #babyccinoboutiques ... link in bio. #babyccinokids

A while ago Esther painted a very dark green square on her living room wall, with the idea to use it to display all sorts of pretty little things: drawings from the children, autumn leaves, our activity advent calendar, a collection of plates or framed art… Things we feel are meaningful and which we like to temporarily display in our living room. The shape of a painted square brings cohesion to the things on display, and the big, dark shape breaks up the wall. So simple and clever! Read more on the link. How do you display your seasonal collections? #babyccinokids #babyccinocrafts
