Sweet and sugar-free Valentine's party
I love to create small and sweet celebrations out of holidays, and Valentine's Day is no exception! While I was heavily pregnant last year, I wanted to do a fuss-free Valentine's Day 'baking' activity with my daughter, but without the dreaded sugar crash afterwards. So we made watermelon hearts, which are bake free, and only sweet ...

Upcycle Clothes - together with the Funky Peas
My kids are hopefully going to stop growing soon. Not only because my eldest, who is now 10 is almost as big as I am (!) but also because of the amount of clothes they go through is just simply extraordinary. I was talking to my friend Michelle about this the other day and we ...

Happy Vintage
Esther is the sort of person who can walk down the road in any given country and see pieces that other people considered trash and realise that it is actually a lovely vintage piece. (She still talks about the Eames armchairs she found on the streets of Manhattan). Me, not so much. I walk past ...

Rasselfisch Cots
I went to visit the Rasselfisch boutique in Stuttgart a few weeks ago and kind of wished there wasn’t a certain someone waiting for me in the car because I would have ended up with a lot more than only a couple of things. It’s one of loveliest boutiques I’ve ever seen. Full of little treats ...

Vintage Fisher Price toys
Ava and her little friend got in a pretty bad argument the other day. It's not pretty to witness two 2 ½ year olds fighting over a Fisher Price cash machine! But I understand where they come from -- that cash machine is one of the coolest toys I remember from my childhood, together with the Fisher ...

Rien à Cirer
I have just had my entire flat repainted. My favourite part of having builders in is certainly not living on a building site, but spending countless hours daydreaming about how to decorate the rooms. So much fun, even if only 10% of my ideas actually ever see the light of the day! I am a big ...

Molly-Meg chairs and more
How fun are these colourful kid-sized Acapulco chairs? How cute would these be in a child's bedroom, a playroom or even the living room?! I'm thinking about getting one for Ivy's room (she's really into chairs her own size right now!) -- don't you think they even look comfortable? Molly-Meg is a great source for ...

House of dots -- for that vintage feeling!
If you're in Amsterdam and suddenly see someone trot by with a baby on her arm and wearing this delightful yellow trench coat, it could very well be me! I got this coat from House of Dots, a wonderful Dutch e-boutique with a concept I love: the feeling is vintage, but the product is new! ...

Ladybird Prints
As you may have figured by now, I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to children's books and I have a particular passion for old ones.  That's why I love this idea from Ladybird Books ... Absorba
You cannot get a more classic, sensible French brand than Absorba! I grew up wearing Absorba underwear, T-shirts -- the lot! During my childhood Absorba was synonymous with sensible cotton basics. I would have never considered it fashionable... I can even remember begging my mum to upgrade me from Absorba to Petit Bateau (I guess ...

Native Kingdom
I have fallen back in love with second-hand clothes, a passion I had when I was a poor student. Now a mother of two growing girls, I have decided that second-hand is back in vogue. There is so much stuff out there at a fraction of the original price. Second-hand can mean a lot of ...
