Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden
New York is magical place to be at Christmastime, with tree stands lining the sidewalks and filling the air with the woodsy smell of pine and fir, store windows decorated with enchanting displays, lights strung across avenues and intersections, European-style Christmas markets to visit, and special holiday shows and sights to take in. As I sat down at ...

Marc Boutavant Train Puzzle
It is pretty hard not to be a Marc Boutavant fan if your are a kid or, indeed, a parent. My kids read Mouk again and again and again. What I like about his style is how every picture is so full of details, you can never get tired of looking at them. Have you ...

The Kew Bridge Steam Museum is open every day except Mondays and is great to marvel at various engines and locomotives. But the real fun is taking ...

BIG #babyccinoreads: Large format reference books are great. We love that super-size allows for attention to detail, attractive illustrations and much concentration. With reference books, our need for specifics is all that more important. We like that reference books provide information on the exact hue of the orange of an Emperor penguin’s beak or which exact countries the River Nile runs through, so it’s easy for children to soak up. Today we share some of our favourite #bigbooks ... what are yours? @themontessoristudio
