Skincare and make-up products I like to use (and are quick to apply!)
I am by no means a make-up expert. I don't use a lot of it (in fact, I just spent six weeks in a campervan without ANY make-up!). My childhood was quite, well, childish, and I didn't use mascara until I was 18 and left the house to go and study in Delft. There, during ...

Kit & Kin -- eco friendly skincare
I have recently discovered this wonderful eco-friendly skincare range from Kit & Kin and the whole family have fallen in love with it! The line was co-created by the ever-so talented Emma Bunton after she noticed her little boy was developing excema and she struggled to find a skincare range that wouldn't further irritate his ...

If you have a little girl around the age of nine, there's a big fat chance that one day you will stand next to her and realise that it's not your own armpits you're smelling, but those of your daughter. Suddenly, that innocent baby of yours will have a first wave of hormones going through ...

Enfance Paris, natural soap for children
I recently discovered Enfance, a Paris-based company making 100% natural soap aimed purely at children, and using only organic ingredients of the very best quality. After becoming a mother, the owner of the brand, Agnès Laffourcade, realised that she was missing a brand purely aimed at children that used exclusively organic science. So she developed a range of ...

Dr Hauschka Sage and Mint Deodorant
For years I have been testing organic, non-toxic deodorants as I, like a lot of you, have been reading about how bad normal deodorants are for us. The problem is: I have never found one that actually works! And I do like smelling good, so that was a bit too much of a stumbling block ...

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery
When it comes to the world of beauty products, I've been living on planet Mars. If you read my beauty uniform post on A Cup of Jo, you'll already know that most of the beauty products I use are ones that I've used since I was a teenager. I hardly ever try anything new. So ...

There's something incredibly luxurious about the Seascape products -- I just love the gentle smell and stylish packaging of them. Liz Earle, natural skincare
I've been on the look-out for skincare that works for a while now. I have my requirements, of course: it should be gentle, natural, affordable and smell really good. It should also be simple and straightforward -- what I don't like are those brands which offer a million products to be used on top of ...

Some much needed glow!
Now that we are admitting to each other that we do secretly use beauty products to make us look a little better than we actually feel (see Michela's post 'With a little help from my friend'), I wanted to tell you about this product I've been using for years (I don't understand why they promote ...

30+ skin
I have tried to deny it for a while, but I recently celebrated another birthday and here is the truth: I am definitely (way) over thirty now. So. Since my late teenage years I have always, without thinking and without a complaint, used the Clinique 3-step skincare range. Only in the mornings of course – ...

Our friend, Al MacCuish’s wonderful children’s book, The Bee Who Spoke is now available in paperback as of today! It is a beautifully illustrated story of a girl named Belle and her adventures in the French countryside, where she meets a talking bee and is introduced to the wonders of nature. Not only is it a charming and engaging story, but one that is educational and inspiring too. @almac103 @lizmatthewspr @courtneyadamo #babyccinoreads #babyccinokids

Wild Garlic, or Ramson, is abundant in early Spring. We have a simple pesto recipe in our bio which is great with pasta, on fish, or with a cheese toastie! And if you are wondering what’s so good about wild garlic, well, it’s great for you! It has antibacterial, antibiotic, antiseptic properties so it makes sense to pack as much into your diet as you can. It reduces blood pressure, heart disease and the risk of stroke. It’s also fun to forage. Recipe from @laraoflondon

‘How to be More Paddington : A Book of Kindness’ by Michael Bond features some of Paddington’s most inspiring, funny quotes which accompany the beautiful illustrations by the original Paddington illustrator, Peggy Fortnum. It’s a book filled with nostalgia and teaches children to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ just like Paddington does. Vanessa adores it, her review is on the blog today. @vanessagerbrandy #babyccinokids #babyccinoreads #paddington #howtobelikepaddington #kindness

How does your garden grow? Spring provides the perfect opportunity to embrace growing both flowers and vegetables with children. Whether you have a garden, window box space or a small ledge inside, children can learn so much from the experience of growing something themselves. It can really demonstrate to them exactly how the process of photosynthesis works as well as help with learning the cycle of how a little seed can flourish and then be used to create something delicious! Emma tells us how wonderful it is to grow ! “We love growing our own tomatoes and then enjoying tasty bruschettas and rich tomato sauces for both pasta and pizza. It is remarkably simple and the children absolutely love the process of watching the seeds grow. It also teaches them patience (whilst waiting for the tomatoes to grow), resilience (when things do not go quite as planned) and of course helps with embracing all nature has to offer.” Link in bio for her best tips. @the_flourisher_ #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats

Start collecting and pressing Spring flowers as you go on walks and little wanders. A collection can make the most special monogrammed letter. It’s a simple task and a satisfying project and it will mean so much to the grandparent, mother, sister, friend, spouse, or newborn baby that receives it. Great for birthdays, christenings, showers, anniversaries, and really any celebration of a loved one! See this post from @laraoflondon! Link in bio. #babyccinokids #banyccinocrafts
