Last weekend was exhausting and yet so much fun! For the first time ever, we co-hosted an event in my very own little town - Paris. The French brands we worked with knocked it out of the park. It was so great meeting local shoppers and brands and seeing all that was going on in ...

We adore Caramel -- it has been a Babyccino member for years on our shopping portal, and we adore visiting their little gem of a store in Notting Hill. Thomas Sires - A boutique for women, children, and home in Nolita
I popped into the boutique Thomas Sires, in Manhattan's Nolita neighborhood, on a dreary February day and it was just the bright spot I needed during these last few weeks of winter, when it seems spring may never come back around again. In the store, which carries gorgeous items for women, children, and home, the ...

Souvenirs from Copenhagen – Vintage Danish blue plates
When we first moved to Copenhagen, I noticed many of our Danish friends had cool, eclectic crockery collections that were mixed and matched. There were handmade one-offs from stores like Stilleben mixed with simple white dishes from chains like Søstrene Grene, and there were vintage plates from loppemarkeder (flea markets). I noticed that in among the latter, ...

CW Pencil Enterprise
I love New York for many reasons, but the existence of specialized shops like CW Pencil Enterprise -- an entire store devoted to  pencils (!) - ranks high on the list. The Micro Beach Wagon -- an excellent companion, even in the city

WEEKEND GETAWAYS
Weekend Getaway: Byron Bay, Australia
We discovered Byron Bay during our first campervan journey up the east coast of Australia back in 2010. It rained every day during that visit, which kept us from spending time on Bryon's beautiful beaches, but forced us inland to discover its 'hinterland' -- a verdant countryside of rolling hills, secret swimming holes and charming towns. While Byron's beaches and surf scene ...

Today’s new post from Lara “Seek is the one and only app that our (young) children use. It started in lockdown over the Spring, as things sprung to life, and our children would ask us ‘what’s that?’ So my husband found the answer, which was for all of us to learn more from the world of amazing digital technology by using a free app (and find out more about the amazing world!). We think it is so outstanding actually and have told so many friends and family members to use it too, because it teaches them about the world and nature! I should quickly add that this is not a sponsored post! It is just a great tip I wanted to share.” And we love this thought... “You don’t have to travel far to find weird and beautiful wildlife. Your garden, local park, street tree, window box or the verge alongside a local footpath are rich ecosystems filled with species… you’ll be able to identify any living thing in your patch – plants, flowers, insects, fungi, birds and animals. It’s like having a naturalist in your pocket! When you ID a species you’ll be able to find out all about it, and see how common or rare it is for your area and the time of year.” More about the app in our bio link. But tell us, are you using any interesting educational apps for nature or science? ps And stay tuned for more about her holiday on a lighthouse island in @laraoflondon ‘s post next week! #babyccinokids #babyccinotips #babyccinotravels #seek

Autumn Equinox — a note from Esther... “I was talking to Lara earlier today, and she was reminding me of the start of Autumn happening today. Autumn! Today, the bright daylight hours and the dark nightly hours are of equal length. From now on, the days will get shorter, the nights will get longer… until the longest night, Winter Solstice (taking place on December 21st) will mark the beginning of the Winter season. Today is Autumn Equinox: the night and the day are in perfect balance. It marks the moment of the sun entering Libra (my star sign!), bringing harmony and stability, and which is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and beauty. All good things, and definitely things we need in these uncertain, difficult and turbulent times. Autumn is when the air starts to feel crisper and smell muddier, when the colours of nature are intensifying before they change colour, when the light is low and magical, when the days get wetter and the weather gets windier. It is the time to harvest apples and nuts and pumpkins, to make pies and soups and stews and to cosy up the house with rugs, pillows and blankets. Fall is so cosy! To celebrate this First Day of Autumn, I thought it would be nice to make a list of all the little things, family traditions and crafts we love doing in fall. Most we have posted about before, but there are some new ideas and things I want to try as well. Going through old posts and getting this list together has been so inspiring — yes, we are entering the darker and colder months, but there is so much to do and make, and many of these activities are super simple and made with whatever nature supplies us with. Fall truly is fabulous!” xx Esther Enjoy @estherbabyccino fifteen favourite fall activities to get inspired, link in bio. #babyccinokids #babyccinotips #autumnequinox @maudfontein 🧡
