Caramel -- the cutest place for children's haircuts
We adore Caramel -- it has been a Babyccino member for years on our shopping portal, and we adore visiting their little gem of a store in Notting Hill. They have several locations, but Notting Hill is so very special because tucked downstairs is an adorable kid's hair salon and it is truly a parent's dream! As ...

Mini Me – Copenhagen's coolest kicks for kids
If Copenhagen has a particular destination ‘high street’ – not so much high street stores as delis, flower shops, bakeries and independent bookstores all beautifully wrapped in a local neighbourhood vibe – then Gammel Kongevej in Frederiksberg is it. This could, to Copenhageners, seem a little strange – because Frederiksberg is actually a municipality all ...

Back to school with Young Soles shoes
It's back-to-school time! We have started exceptionally early here in Amsterdam -- our kids have been in school since mid-August already. The Netherlands is divided into three 'zones' -- each zone starts their summer vacation one week later than the others (with the aim to spread out vacation traffic etc). Our zone was the first to start their ...

I first discovered Donsje shoes at the Bubble tradeshow last January and loved the look of them immediately. How can we manage worrying information around our children? Today’s blog post looks at these ‘unprecedented’ times. With news reels, articles, conversations, not only between adults but children too that are hard to ignore. It is impossible to shield our children from the worries and events of the wider world, and important to share some truths with them about what is happening. We are, as Maria Montessori put it, “Citizens of the World” and our children will be the ones to inherit it. Being in lockdown, (hello to everyone at home!) can make for a really good environment to nurture discussion, as we have time to drip feed explanations, observe reactions and unpick tricky questions. There are some simple ways we can help stem and support the flow of information, manage anxieties and make sense of the world around us all. So today we have tips in our bio, so click on the link and share with loved ones. And please stay safe. #babyccinokids #explainingcoronavirustokids @themontessoristudio

We’ve had a full-on week with home learning (as you all have I imagine) and managed to survive (just) the week in the house together. But this morning I felt we all needed a little time out from the work and we did maths through baking by making these delicious cookies. They were out of the oven just in time for a mid-morning brain break. I think we’ve tried every recipe for chocolate chip cookies but this is our favourite and today I thought I’d share it with you. I must warn you, they are not the healthiest, but during these times I think we are all in need of a little treat. Thanks to @vanessa_wild_flours for this idea ... and click on our bio for her yummy recipe! #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats

The secret to a happy home... freshly baked cookies! And with only three ingredients your precious pantry won’t be robbed of its’ resources. The recipe for these mouth-watering (and gluten free) Peanut Butter Cookies : -1 cup of peanut butter -1 cup of brown sugar -1 egg In a large bowl, mix the ingredients together until you have a smooth, consistent dough. Using your hands, roll dough into small balls and place on a baking tray, evenly spaced. Press a fork into the dough balls in opposite directions making a criss-cross pattern. Then bake at 350° F (175° C) for 8-10 minutes. And that’s it. So easy! Enjoy. @courtneyadamo #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats #glutenfree
