Tuesday Tips: Potty training
This week for our 'Tuesday’s Tips' series, I would love to talk about potty training. Very soon, we will be potty training Casper (second try!), so I thought it would be good timing to dig up some potty training wisdom from my personal archives and share it here with you. And to hear your tips ...

Casper, potty training (and a sweet onesie from Piupia)
Unlike his girlfriend Marlow, who basically potty trained herself when she was 1 ½ year old, Casper isn't into the potty thing at all. When his daycare decided a few weeks ago that now that he's 2, the time is ripe for him to be potty trained, I agreed to give it a go. We've potty trained all ...

Potty training, some tips
If you ask me, potty training is one of the most frustrating parts of raising children. Every time, I promise myself to keep my spirits up, but every single time, by the third day, my patience is at a minimum and I seriously want to put the nappy back on and forget about the whole ...

Beco Potty -- the eco-friendly potty!
Potty training is one of the most frustrating moments of motherhood as far as my experience goes. But when it's done and over with, it's in fact one of the most rewarding!!! I LOVE the concept behind this Eco Potty from Becothings. It's a potty, in its very basic shape, but the material it is ...

Once Upon a potty
The time has come -- my little guy has done his first wee-wees on the potty.  It involved some persuasion (we showed him pictures of his little friend Quin, Courtney's son, proudly using the potty), and we read to him the little book that was also read endlessly to his big sister: Alona Frankel's Once ...

Toodle-Loo!
The timing could not be worse (we're expecting #3 any day now!), but my 2-year-old has decided he would like to be potty-trained.  I tried to ignore it -- I even hid the potties -- but he insisted, and so we're going with it!  Needless to say, the process requires all sorts of planning... like ...

Potty training: a family affair!
There comes a moment in every family when the process of potty-training must begin. I have tried to procrastinate as much as possible (not that I enjoyed changing my 2½-year-old-- it was just that it never seemed like the right time to abandon the nappy)! Aware that forcing potty-training on a child who is not ...

We’ve had a full-on week with home learning (as you all have I imagine) and managed to survive (just) the week in the house together. But this morning I felt we all needed a little time out from the work and we did maths through baking by making these delicious cookies. They were out of the oven just in time for a mid-morning brain break. I think we’ve tried every recipe for chocolate chip cookies but this is our favourite and today I thought I’d share it with you. I must warn you, they are not the healthiest, but during these times I think we are all in need of a little treat. Thanks to @vanessa_wild_flours for this idea ... and click on our bio for her yummy recipe! #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats

The secret to a happy home... freshly baked cookies! And with only three ingredients your precious pantry won’t be robbed of its’ resources. The recipe for these mouth-watering (and gluten free) Peanut Butter Cookies : -1 cup of peanut butter -1 cup of brown sugar -1 egg In a large bowl, mix the ingredients together until you have a smooth, consistent dough. Using your hands, roll dough into small balls and place on a baking tray, evenly spaced. Press a fork into the dough balls in opposite directions making a criss-cross pattern. Then bake at 350° F (175° C) for 8-10 minutes. And that’s it. So easy! Enjoy. @courtneyadamo #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats #glutenfree

Today we celebrate two of nature’s habitats - a forest and a pond. These are wild homes that offer shelter and rest for animals on our doortstep, and can be found in the most populated places, like the cities we live in! @freyahartas @rachel_m_williams #slowdownthebook #naturecraft #considerthelilies #natureshabitats #kidsscience #kidlit #mindfulness #stayathome #babyccinokids #babyccinocrafts

Dear friends, How are you? It’s a different world! Some of you may have been house-bound for a while now, and for some of you it’s only just beginning. Working from home, schooling from home, spending less time outside… No playdates, no sports or hobbies, no little trips to parks, pools, museums or even family. And even though we are physically further away from our friends and families than ever before, I feel that the world is bonding and reaching out to one another. On social media, so many artists are sharing work and so many companies are coming up with the most wonderful creative craft projects. On a local level, neighbours are helping each other out: cooking and baking and shopping for elderly people. In all of this time’s uncertainty, this is the stabile truth: we people take care of one another. WE matter, not the individual. Not the I. Here on Babyccino, we will keep doing what we have always done for twelve years: to inspire you and offer support. We will be sharing ideas from our archives as well as new posts, focussing on simplicity, togetherness and positivity. We will of course also still be supporting our community of wonderful small businesses! Stay tuned for our highlights on : Crafts & Creativity Toys & Games Recipes & Making Books & Films Housekeeping & Organisation Exercise & Health If there is anything you would like to hear more about, please let us know. We care, we share. Wishing you and your family and friends well. Stay safe everyone! Love, Our global Babyccino Team

Today’s activity from is based around looking at things in nature that you might normally miss. Use an old egg carton to create a collection of tiny things - fallen leaves, twigs, rocks or flowers that are on the ground. ‘Plant’ each one into a different hole in your egg box. What does each one look or feel like? Sometimes it’s the little things that remind us just how extraordinary life can be. @rachel_m_williams #slowdownthebook #naturecraft #itsthelittlethings #naturecollections #kidsscience #kidlit #babyccinokids #babyccinocrafts

This gym bag is such a fun and easy project, also for beginners this is a nice sewing project. Esther, Emilie and the kids had so much fun going to the market choosing all the supplies. The fabrics from Little Cube are the cutest!
