Maud Fontein's Happy Holidays Shoot, back at the London ShopUp!
It's become a bit of a tradition: having your kids' Christmas photos taken at the London ShopUp by Maud Fontein. I always love checking on her during the event, to watch all of those adorable kiddos (and parents of course) having such fun in front of her camera. Maud is magical with kids, she just ...
Take a Break
One of the many great things about Barcelona is that the weather is very mild throughout the year. During the summer months (especially July and August) it can get a little too hot for my liking, but otherwise because of the great weather part of the Spanish culture is spending a lot of time outdoors. ...
Manual Alpargateria - for espadrilles!
Although this shop may look like a tourist trap since it appears in the odd guide, this is actually a shop all the locals go to buy their alpargatas, or espadrilles as they are known in English. Manual Alpargatera is the only espadrille workshop still remaining in Barcelona, and has been there since 1940. For ...
Turo Park, Barcelona
When the extension of Barcelona was designed by Urban architect Ildefonso Cerdá he had originally planned for each block to have a garden in the middle, and so had planned very few parks in the city since every house would have a type of communal garden. His plans where later changed against his will, which ...
Barraca - a cosy beachfront restaurant
When you are sitting at a table with a sunset view over the mediterranean with a glass of wine in one hand and your little one sleeping peacefully next to you after a funfilled day at the beach, you know you are on holiday. Barraca is a small cosy restaurant on the beachfront of the ...
Maud Fontein's Happy Holiday Shoot, again at the ShopUp!
It's becoming a little ritual, my yearly trip to Maud Fontein's studio with my four children. It's always a bit chaotic, because it needs to be done quickly, in between school pick-up and tennis training. Maud is great at making the kids feel at ease though and always captures them looking so cute, making use of clever ...
Hucklebones and the Secret Garden
Photographer and stylist, Emma Donnelly, sent over some photos from her recent photoshoot with Hucklebones and I think they perfectly capture how pretty the spring has been here in England with all the beautiful cherry blossoms, budding tulips and little girls in pretty dresses and bare legs!! Such gorgeous photos! Of course you can't go ...
Emily Ulmer
I take a lot of photos nowadays, as I always have my phone on me. I actually sometimes get told off by my kids for taking too many and told to put the phone down! Ha! It is so easy nowadays to snap away, but telephone photos are just not the same as photos taken ...

Sustainable halloween costumes – dressing up capsule tips on today’s blog! Are you in the mood for dressing up for halloween? Even if your area is in lockdown and trick or treating isn’t really advised, it can be fun to have a dressing up party this time of year nonetheless! Remember it’s all about the power of suggestion and going with the child’s imagination instead of getting everything just so. Most younger children as well as (pre)teens are totally fine with the creative and slightly more suggestive approach. More in bio link from @mrsnomi #babyccinokids
