Coram's Fields playground -- a family favourite in the heart of London
Centrally located in the heart of London's Bloomsbury and near some of our best loved museums, is Coram's Fields. This charming inner city playground is a relaxing and convenient place to stop off and take a break if you find yourself in this interesting part of town. Tucked away between garden squares and sprawling Edwardian ...

Kew Gardens
We are big fans of The Botanical Gardens at Kew; it's one of our favourite places to go when we feel like a change of scenery. Kew is located near Richmond in South London but just an easy 30-minute overground train ride from our neighbourhood in North London (a real bonus for our kids who ...

Battersea Park
Weekends are always for adventures and when we stumbled from our cosy little burrow last summer into Battersea Park we hit upon treasure.  The Park is situated just south of the river between the Albert and the Chelsea Bridge.  We drove and parked up at one of the many car-parks around the park.  We got ...

Welcome to our newest #babyccinokidsboutiques on the block! Eco conscious clothing and decor for adventurous kids … Bella + Phoenix! Brand @bella_and_phoenix is created by Debbie Turrell a Sussex based graphic designer/illustrator and mum. From a young age both her children showed an avid interest in the natural world. From rock pooling to finding mini beasties in the back garden, everything would be inspected (not dissected!) and then avidly talked about. Next would come the barrage of questions! It inspired her to come up with the 'Tee of Knowledge’. The clothing is organized into cute themes and children will definitely feel inspired when they are dressed and ready for an afternoon spent amongst nature! Being passionate about ethical production, all the clothing is handprinted to order in Bella and Phoenix Sussex studio on organic cottons, using eco friendly inks. The packaging is recycled and 100% biodegradable too. We hope your little explorers will be inspired!

Wilkie has requested this as his bedtime story every night for the last few weeks, and it’s one of those books I never tire of reading. Arno and his Horse is a beautiful story, written with rhyming text and illustrated with beautiful, rich watercolour illustrations of an Australian country setting. Today we had the very best sunny day in London town! We visited our amazing #babyccinoboutiques @vildhouseoflittle for a studio tour and sneak peek at their newest items! We enjoyed @somersethouse and the @londondesignbiennale including the inspiring free exhibit, Forest For Change, directed by @esdevlin. We then went to meet some beautiful elephants in @coventgardenldn at @petershamnurseries bringing attention to the @coexistencecampaign. Needless to say, it was a full day and @laraoflondon got the babe back in time for a nap. Now tell us, what new energy has the summer sun given you? #babyccinokids #babyccinotravels

How to make honeycomb… a fun activity to bake with children. Watching the mixture bubble up is like watching a seriously exciting science lesson! Once made, broken up into chunky shards it is devoured by the whole family. Even better crushed onto vanilla ice cream makes for a fun summery dessert.
