Olivier Baby and Kids, at the ShopUp this week!
Olivier Baby and Kids is one of my favourite places to find cosy cashmere products for the kids. Last winter Marlow lived in her little bonnet and all the kids had one of their snoods, each a different colour to keep things easy when bundling up before leaving the house. This year they've added hand-knitted pom-pom hats (with ...

It seems like so many of our blog posts in the past few weeks have been focused on cosy knitwear!! Tis the season, I guess... and it's a beautiful one! In addition to a roaring fire and lots of hot chocolate, beautiful, thick, cosy knitwear is one of my favourite things about the winter season. (Seeing these ...

Mormor, gorgeous, hand-knit clothing
Mormor is a Danish company with a collection of hand knit products that I adore. The concept behind Mormor is wonderful: to pass on the knowledge and skills that many elderly women possess. Mormor currently has a team of over 130 women who are passionately knitting sweet and fashionable designs for a younger generation. I ...

Chunky woollen jumpers from Babaà
Is there anything better than a sunny, crisp Autumn day when you can leave your bulky coats at home and just head out in woollen jumpers?! (Those days are few here in London, so it is extra special when that happens!) The children's knitwear from Babaà is my favourite! Everything is hand made in Spain ...

A frog in the pocket...
Sometimes a new children's brand comes along that does something totally new and different. And these days, with all the many children's clothing labels out there, 'new and different' is not easy to do. But Elfie, a London-based brand started by two fashion designer sisters, does exactly that. Take one look at their beautiful photography ...

Smart jumpers!
So sweet, these cashmere jumpers by Les Enfantines from Clara de Paris! Made from a gorgeous quality cashmere, they are luxurious, soft and warm to start with. I recently discovered the Danish children's brand, FUB,  which specialises in beautiful, organic cotton and wool knitwear for kids aged 6 mos to 8 years. Madison Browne does cashmere
My husband and I joke that the upside to English weather is that you never have to switch out your winter wardrobe for your summer one, and you can wear cashmere all year long! (Seriously, yes -- summer is really that bad here.) Now, buying cashmere for your kids does seem a bit indulgent... but ...

Start your week off with a bang! Make these energy balls on a Monday for some extra fuel and then continue to enjoy these snacks all week. 🤎 No-bake, sugar-free Coconut Oat Energy Balls : -6 pitted fresh medjool dates (not dried), cut up into smaller chunks -30 grams sunflower seeds -30 grams pumpkin seeds -25 grams desiccated coconut -10 grams date syrup -40 grams organic oats 🤎 First combine the sunflower and pumpkin seeds into the food processor. Then pulse it until they are nicely crushed up. Next add the medjool dates, oats, desiccated coconut and date syrup. Mix. Take a teaspoon of the mixture and roll into ball. Then roll the balls in extra desiccated coconut afterwards which makes them less sticky to eat! Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. Enjoy! 🤎 @laraoflondon #babyccinoeats #babyccinokids

Willow Crossley is a writer and a floral stylist. She is the mother of three gorgeous boys and is based in the beautiful counrtyside of Oxfordshire. Willow’s latest book, The Wild Journal, is utterly divine and I can’t really think of a better treat in this current climate, than reading this book. Written over a period of a year and split into the four seasons, the concept of Willow’s book is simple; a guide on how to nurture yourself through nature. With practical projects for you and the family to enjoy together and therapeutic seasonal reflections. Eton Mess is a family favourite of @laraoflondon. In our house it is referred to as ‘Messy Mash’ and that is exactly what it is. A delicious, sweet, fruity bowl of soft and fluffy meringue bits with juicy berries and delectable whipped cream! We have taken this tradition, and given it a twist adding more berries. But the history of Eton Mess, named after the famous Eton Boarding School that many prime ministers and princes, kings, etc have attended, is that “the strawberry, meringue and cream pudding was dropped at an Eton v Harrow cricket match in the late 19th century. Perhaps it was a Pavlova style desert. Rather than waste the food, it was simply scooped up off the floor and served, smashed to bits, in individual bowls.” I love the tale of this story, and my kids love smashing the berries and meringue into bits to create this wonderfully sweet but not too saccharin dessert. It is also bake-free, takes only a few minutes to make on a day where you’d rather sit in the sun then be in the kitchen. Ingredients : Meringue (2 very large or 20 smaller ones — you can make them, or we enjoy cheating this step and buying delicious ones instead) Whipping Cream 1.5 punnet of strawberries Blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, optional so add to your liking! Vanilla Pod, sliced in half and seeds removed, or vanilla paste, or extract, to your liking. I prefer not to use the vanilla extract as it leaves a bit of an alcohol flavour. Steps for the mess : Rinse all of your fruit. Chop half the strawberries and put them in a blender or smash up. Pour the double cream/whipping cream into a large mixing bowl and add the vanilla. Then whip it up! Break up the meringues into about one-inch pieces, put them in the mixing bowl with the cream, add the smashed strawberries and fold the cream in around them to give a marbled effect. Place the mixture in serving dishes. Chop the rest of the strawberries and combine with the other berries. Put on top of your smashed mixture. You may want to pour a little extra cream on top, but I like the bright, uninterrupted colours of just the berries on the top. Enjoy immediately! #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats
