Vegetable Lasagne
We have spent the summer enjoying ourselves and indulging in saucisson, paté, sausages, cheese and bread -- as you would if you are on holiday in France. But I am now craving vegetables so badly! I have spent bit of time browsing the internet for new recipes (as I am a little bit bored of ...

How to draw a penguin - by Oliver Jeffers
Oliver Jeffers must be one of my favourite illustrators, so I got a little bit excited about this tutorial (via the Guardian) on how to draw a penguin. It is so simple, so funny and so charming that it even makes me want to start getting out the crayons! I know nothing about drawing, so ...

Choice of buggies
At the moment I am really enjoying cutting corners, recycling and making do with what we have, embracing a simple lifestyle. However, there are a few things that are not worth skimping on and children's security is one of them, but being security conscious does not mean breaking the bank. I found this article in ...

We will teach you to make love again
I read this article in the Guardian by Janine di Giovanni called "We will teach you to make love again" and I could not resist mentioning it on Babyccino. For me it reflects a lot my experiences of being a mother in France. The article is definitely written with a big pinch of irony and ...

Barbie
I was never allowed a Barbie. My mother  was a student of the 68 era, so Barbie went against all of her principles. I was even taught at the tender age of four why Barbie was so wrong. I think I must have been a little know-it-all, as I would consequently lecture my little girl ...
