Thursday Thoughts: Do You Make Your Kids Stay at the Table at Mealtimes?
My husband and I have had a bit of a predicament lately which has left us with this question I'd love to ask you: When your kids are finished eating, do you make them stay at the table until everyone is finished or do you excuse them? We’ve always let our girls get down when ...

Blossom - A Vietnamese Restaurant in Los Angeles
When Andrew and I first met in Los Angeles, we established rather quickly that we had in common a love for Vietnamese pho soup. One of our first "pho dates" was at a Vietnamese restaurant called "Blossom" in Silverlake, but the restaurant didn't have a sign on the building. It was a mystery place you ...

Quiche on my mind...
It's spring, and my mind is set on quiche. I'm not exactly sure why -- is it the combination of the flaky puff pastry crust with the creamy filling and the salty cheese melted on top? Is it the fact that it is so easy to prepare? Or is it just because it's the perfect dish ...

Dinner with Courtney from Babyccino Kids
I am going to admit straight away that I actually don't really love dinner time. In fact, I sometimes even dread it. My kids are tired, my patience is usually gone by then, and trying to keep three kids at the table until they finish their dinner is exhausting (remember this post?). I'm also not ...

Quinoa ('keen-wah')
I will confess that I’m really not a very good cook… I do try, really I do but the reality is that it just doesn’t come naturally to me. I find it tedious and stressful, not to mention expensive due to my high turnover of pots and pans and regular culinary disasters. Despite this, I ...

We’ve had a full-on week with home learning (as you all have I imagine) and managed to survive (just) the week in the house together. But this morning I felt we all needed a little time out from the work and we did maths through baking by making these delicious cookies. They were out of the oven just in time for a mid-morning brain break. I think we’ve tried every recipe for chocolate chip cookies but this is our favourite and today I thought I’d share it with you. I must warn you, they are not the healthiest, but during these times I think we are all in need of a little treat. Thanks to @vanessa_wild_flours for this idea ... and click on our bio for her yummy recipe! #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats

The secret to a happy home... freshly baked cookies! And with only three ingredients your precious pantry won’t be robbed of its’ resources. The recipe for these mouth-watering (and gluten free) Peanut Butter Cookies : -1 cup of peanut butter -1 cup of brown sugar -1 egg In a large bowl, mix the ingredients together until you have a smooth, consistent dough. Using your hands, roll dough into small balls and place on a baking tray, evenly spaced. Press a fork into the dough balls in opposite directions making a criss-cross pattern. Then bake at 350° F (175° C) for 8-10 minutes. And that’s it. So easy! Enjoy. @courtneyadamo #babyccinokids #babyccinoeats #glutenfree
