Shon Mott, beautiful clothing for us mamas!
As parents we often spend time looking for nice things for our kids, and forget to pamper ourselves. But in a shop like Shon Mott where they take so much care in selecting their materials, you might be spoiling yourself, but I can guarantee your kids won't complain when you wrap them up in your new ...

Parking Pizza -- the best pizza in Barcelona
Although it is true that one of my favourite parts about traveling is discovering new flavours and types of food, there is the occasional day where all I (and my family) want is a little bit of comfort food. Parking Pizza serves finger-licking pizzas, and the wood oven and open kitchen spectacle keeps the little ...

Take a Break
One of the many great things about Barcelona is that the weather is very mild throughout the year. During the summer months (especially July and August) it can get a little too hot for my liking, but otherwise because of the great weather part of the Spanish culture is spending a lot of time outdoors. ...

Barcelona Aquarium
Not having grown up by the coast, and having spent little time in seas or oceans, I find aquariums particularly fascinating, and could spend hours looking at the fish and sea creatures. Although the Barcelona Aquarium may not be the most impressive aquarium I've ever seen, nor the largest, it has a good selection of fish and ...

Federal Cafe
Between the busy streets of the Barrio Gótico, you'll find this quiet plaza in which the cafe Federal is found called Pasage de la paz (meaning passage of peace) where it feels like the city has been put on standby. Friends calmly chat around their tables holding their warm expressos or hot chocolates, and entrepreneurs ...

Although this shop may look like a tourist trap since it appears in the odd guide, this is actually a shop all the locals go to buy their alpargatas, or espadrilles as they are known in English. Manual Alpargatera is the only espadrille workshop still remaining in Barcelona, and has been there since 1940. For ...

Turo Park, Barcelona
When the extension of Barcelona was designed by Urban architect Ildefonso Cerdá he had originally planned for each block to have a garden in the middle, and so had planned very few parks in the city since every house would have a type of communal garden. His plans where later changed against his will, which ...

The Zoo of Barcelona
Although I have a love hate relationship with zoos, I can still remember the feeling I would get when my parents would tell me that we were going to the Zoo. A sudden surge of excitement would come over me, and it wouldn't go away until several days after having been to the zoo. ...

Casa Bonay, Barcelona
Located in the middle of the Eixample Dret, surrounded by the cities most iconic sites lies Casa Bonay. Originally home to the Bonay family, this establishment was built in 1869, and although the building itself has been remodelled countless times, the neoclassical facade remains untouched. Home now to 67 rooms, Casa Bonay boasts of luminous ...

Whidbey Island is a beautiful and untouched destination in the US Pacific Northwest. It is made up of several small quaint towns and gorgeous historic nature reserve — there are lots of hikes, views, parks, beaches, and more to explore. Addie says: ‘Perhaps one of the best overall things about being on Whidbey was just that — being on the island and enjoying its natural state and sharing that with my family. The pastel-colored stones collected at the beaches, the deer that aren’t scared of humans at all and just mosey about the island, the cherry trees, the seal pups... It was so great just to be there!’ If you are a family who loves nature and adventure and enjoys exploring the lesser-traveled destinations, you can find @addieladner ‘s great tips (and more dreamy photos! ) over on our blog. It sounds like the perfect getaway to us!! #babyccinokids #babyccinotravels #whidbeyisland #familytravel
