Eat your veggies! With the natural rubber baby toys from Oli & Carol
Bram is not big on solids yet. He bravely tries little bites of mashed carrot, sweet potato or banana, then squeezes his face as if I'm feeding him a lemon. And basically refuses to eat the rest of the dish. I've had a bit of succes with avocado and broccoli (perhaps he only likes green ...

A wonderful selection of baby gifts from Un Elefantino a Pois
I am still trying to figure out what to wear and how to dress the kids in Australian 'winter time'. While the nights and mornings can be chilly, by midday we are shedding the woollen layers we've put on over our summery clothes. It seems I always have a bonnet, jumper and booties in my ...

Wooden baby toys by Naef Spiele
I recently discovered the Naef brand of baby toys at the TwentyTwentyOne shop in Islington and I was so drawn to the simplicity of the toys. Simple, but so beautiful at the same time. And all the wood is so smooth, the shapes are so perfect for little baby hands, and the sounds the toys ...

Babies love to Skwish!
I was speaking to Esther the other day about baby toys and we both agreed that the Skwish toy might just be the best baby toy on the market. And if our babies could talk, they would certainly agree with us! Marlow's eyes light up at the sight of it, and she kicks her little ...

Baby toys by Mastro Geppetto
The lovely Jenny from LMNOP Magazine sent the sweetest little gifts for baby Marlow, all beautifully wrapped and washi taped. One of the gifts was this little wooden heart-shaped teether by the Japanese brand, Mastro Geppetto. It's amazing how beautiful something so little can be. A baby teether, but really a gorgeously crafted little piece ...

Ding-a-Ring rattles
Ava is totally into rattles these days -- she literally shakes everything she gets in her hands, and loves it when there's an actual sound that comes out. She recently got a Ding-a-Ring rattle (Emma Owl) and yes, it does its job beautifully! Ava also loves the fact that it has a label and other ...

My daughter's favourite toy -- Baby Dolls
Again, no surprises here -- my 22-month-old daughter loves 'baby' (currently it doesn't matter which one). We have two babies in our house.  On your left you will see Winnie (the winker).  We bought Winnie from the Early Learning Centre for my son about a month before my daughter was born to get him into ...

Squeaky toys
My baby is four months old already -- time for toys! So this week I brought the box of baby toys out of storage, and was reminded about some of my favorites... Like these squeaky little rattles by Lilliputiens. They're cute, they're soft, and they squeak when you squeeze them.   They fit perfectly into little ...

‘Comfort Zones’ is an anthology of essays written by a pool of women writers who were invited to think about their usual ‘comfort’ subject matter and then work against it. This ‘tackling of unfamiliar grounds’ results in a compelling read — according to @vanessa_wild_flours a ‘dip in and out of’ kind of book which sounds like the perfect holiday read to us!
