Joy & Joice, 100% natural, aromatherapy candles for expecting or new mamas
The months before and after having a baby are just the cosiest periods, the waiting, preparing the house, and then the delightful cocooning on the couch with your tiny newborn in your arms... Rachel (a really cute young mum I met at the London ShopUp last December) really craved the comforting atmosphere that scented candles create during these ...

Hello everyone. The ones that follow my blog have read the news already but to the ones that don’t I’m over the moon to share that from this summer on I’m going to be a mama of three! I can hardly believe it. If it wasn’t for the ultrasounds I don’t think I would. We are ...

A beautiful (and meaningful) baby blanket
I'm a big fan of muslin blankets -- they are so great for all kinds of purposes: swaddling little babies, drying them, keeping them warm (or keeping them shaded from the sun), as a breastfeeding cover, or as a play mat. My kids still use them as towels, throws, play blankets -- or we use them ...

Greentom, a 100% green stroller
There's a new stroller in the land -- have you heard of the Greentom Upp yet? Designed here in the Netherlands, it is cool, hip and functional, but also very innovative: it is completely, 100% green. Casper and I have spent the last month or so test-riding the Greentom Upp Classic, and I'm impressed. It is a ...

Last days of summer and the TULA baby carrier
Our final week of summer holiday has been a really wonderful one. I turned my phone off, stuck it in the bottom of my suitcase, and haven't checked it even once! I wanted to disconnect a bit and soak up these carefree summer days before we return to London and the kids go back to school. ...

Portable sleeper for newborns
We're visiting my husband's family in Lake Tahoe this week where the kids are having loads of fun playing with all their cousins.  My sister-in-law recently gave birth to her fourth baby, a little girl called Ruby, and we've been enjoying spending time with her and getting lots of newborn snuggle time. I can't believe Marlow ...

FlatOut Bear
Everybody who knows Ava knows her 'BearBear' -- the Flatout Bear she's been inseparable from for the first three years of her life. Everywhere she went, BearBear went! It's one well traveled bear, that BearBear... (We once nearly missed an airplane to Turkey because BearBear was left behind in the train station, and we had ...

Baby Bear Shop organic bath!
Marlow still fits in our laundry room deep sink and it's my favourite way to bathe her. No crouching over, no wasting water, and having her up at my level makes it easier to wash and rinse her. (I think it's her favourite way to be bathed too - she always points at the sink ...

The Bugaboo wool collection
Wool is known for its wonderful, temperature regulating properties. So this past summer, when it was hot and humid and sticky, I cut holes in a sheep skin and put it in my Bugaboo as a seat cover. Like this Casper was always on a soft, natural and breathable 'mattress', which kept him cool as ...

Beaba Babycook
We are big fans of the Beaba Babycook! In fact, I gave ours away a couple years ago, thinking I wasn't going to have any more babies (whoops!) ... but now that Marlow is eating solids and I'm making food for her, I just had to get a new one.  It saves time, eliminates mess, ...

Sweetcase -- baby's first essentials, all in one place
Sweetcase is a most wonderful concept started by mother of two Murielle Sitruk. When Murielle was expecting her second child, and was preparing her hospital bag, she was looking for one place where she could find the most practical and beautiful bedding and clothing for her soon to be born baby. And unsuccessfully so! Thus, ...

Manduca carrier
I have always been a huge fan of the Baby Bjorn carriers. I still have the same one we bought when our first baby was born, more than 7 years ago. I just love how simple it is -- how easy it is to put on and strap baby in. But, I must admit I've ...

Fun*das, for a quick make-over!
I'm a big fan of my Babybjörn bouncing chair, but after the extensive use by three children (plus all of their little friends) it really has seen its best days. So I was really excited to discover Fun*das, a Spanish company that makes 'prêt-à-porter' covers for mentioned bouncing chair, buggies, and car seats. How clever! All ...

New on the market: the NJOY Bubble Buggy
The two buggies we currently own have been with us since our first child was a baby. That's nearly 8 years! Our Bugaboo Frog is still in great condition (really, you can't go wrong with Bugaboo, can you?), but unfortunately I can't say the same about the light-weight umbrella stroller we got for travelling. It ...

I am a total French pharmacy groupie. And I really thought that I knew every product available and then, recently, I stumbled upon yet another French wonder product! Linement Oleo Calcaire (I guess this translates to oil and calcium ointment) consists of only two ingredients: olive oil and calcium. The most common use for it is cleaning ...

Vicks Behind-the-ear thermometer
It's funny how medical care can be so different from country to country.  When I lived in London and asked the pharmacist for some suppositories to give to my sick baby, he literally looked at me as if I was asking him to stand on his head and sing the ABCs. Whereas here in Amsterdam, ...

Emilie writes: “One of the bigger shocks of my girls getting older is witnessing the self consciousness creeping in. I’m still getting used to the worries they have about how they are perceived by others and the inhibitions and loss of innocence and naivety.” Read more (tap on link) and let us know how you enhance your daughters, nieces, or girlfriends’ confidence! #internationaldayofgirlchild #babyccinokids #girls #teens #women#dayofthegirl
