New York, New York!
We're back from New York! And while we are processing the million impressions we got -- from discovering great brands at the Playtime fair (recap to come, of course!), to meeting wonderful friends, to talking loads about new business ideas we've got -- we thought it would be fun to share some snapshots we took ...

A NY state of mind!
When we were in NYC earlier this month we met up with the talented photographer, Lindsey Belle, and spent a sunny afternoon hanging out on the streets of the Meatpacking District. We talked babies and motherhood (Lindsey has an 11 month old and we bonded over sleepless nights & nursing babies!) and she snapped some ...

We ? NYC
We hope we haven't overdone it with all our talk about NYC! And hope you won't mind if we share a few more photos from our quick trip. It was such a busy weekend, running around the city (with the babies!) trying to squeeze everything in, but it was super fun, and actually easier than ...

Playtime NYC recap
The Playtime trade show is always such an inspiring event. So much talent, creativity, and entrepreneurialism all in one place. You would think that after visiting Playtime Paris just two months ago we would have seen it all... but the New York show offered up a whole new vibe, new designers and of course an ...

Paris vs. New York
Several people have sent me the link to this blog called Paris vs New York and I  absolutely love it. It doesn't really have anything to do with mothers and children, but I thought you might appreciate it as well. I think the illustrations perfectly pick up on so many of the idiosyncrasies of Paris ...

Sweet William opens in Manhattan!
One of my very favorite children's shops from Brooklyn recently opened in Nolita last month -- dangerously close to where I live (uh oh).   I have always admired Sweet William as it is a store that gets it just right.  The space is adorable and the clothes are incredibly well edited, wearable and unique.  ...

Date Weekend -- Mayflower Inn and Spa
Since having my girls, my husband and I have only taken 3 short weekend trips away from home. Six nights. Four years. Exactly six times where I have slept past 7:30 in the morning.   Now before you call me a loser… just wait… it gets even worse.  Those six nights were all spent at ...

Williamsburg
Williamsburg is seriously as cool as it gets. In fact, I used to joke with a friend of mine that they should just plaster a picture of either Beck or Moby on the front of all the Subway cars to identify that the "L" train to Brooklyn was for hipster transport only. I guess now, ...

While I would really love for my kids to play with handcrafted, eco-friendly and artistically stunning toys,  I also know full well that I might as well just set a pile of money on fire. Art, food and a place to sit.
I do love New York but there are also a lot of things that I really hate about it.... the lack of parks and open spaces, and the complete absence of places to just sit down. The other day I took my girls to the New Museum on the Bowery. I have been wanting to ...

Everything Under the Sun is a new book out by Molly Oldfield. The book is a collection of answers to 366 curious questions asked by children from around the world. Fascinating facts are accompanied by vibrant illustrations from a selection of great illustrators, making the book as cute as it is educational. The book is based on the award-winning podcast @everythingunderthesunpod also by Molly Oldfield, where she and other experts answer questions sent in from children. We’ve been listening to Molly’s podcast episodes in the car, and we’re all learning so much! We’ve learned about bees and wind, narwhals and unicorns, to Egyptians and mummies. It’s so cute! I can’t recommend the book highly enough. Whether you read a question a day, or dip into it whenever you are feeling curious, this is a book to treasure and share all year round. It would also make a wonderful birthday gift for any young person in your life. @mollyoldfieldwrites @courtneyadamo #babyccinobooks #babyccinoreads
