I had visions of sitting around the kitchen table with my kids producing one egg gem after another and hanging them all over the flat... But turns out fantasy and reality could not have ...

Egg Heads
Last Easter we decided to make some Egg Heads with the mustard & cress seeds we got in our lunchbox from Kew Gardens.  Now I'm not in any way saying this was an innovative idea -- most of you probably grew some of these little men/women yourself as children.  But for some reason my childhood ...

Until the twentieth century, many women spent most of their adult years pregnant. Despite this, pregnancies are seldom apparent in surviving portraits. 🤰 We live in a time where we can celebrate the pregnant body, not conceal it. Where society (as a general rule) is not trying to ignore it. Or even fear it. And, where fashion is designed specifically to embrace and proudly show off the pregnant bump. But most importantly, where the medical support for pregnant women — and the likelihood of a healthy birth — is possible. Today’s blog post: Portraying Pregnancy from Holbein to Social Media is inspired by a London exhibition at @foundlingmuseum that @laraoflondon went to the opening of. This homemade bath soak would be the loveliest Valentine’s gift to make for grandmothers, aunts, teachers, or friends! Ingredients : 1 cup Epsom Salt 1 cup Pink Himalayan Sea Salt 1/2 cup Rose Petals, torn into smaller pieces after measuring 1/4 cup Dried Lavender lavender essential oil, optional, but I prefer it without when using with my children’s baths Lidded jars to gift it in Lavender is excellent for aching muscles, relaxation, and stress relief. Its’ powerful as well for antioxidant, antimicrobial, sedative, calming and anti-depressive properties. So soak away! Rose petals are often the image of luxury and self love. But it can actually enhance your skin and mood. Rosewater soothes irritated skin, brightens your complexion and tightens pores for a smooth appearance. Epsom Salt in water breaks down into magnesium and sulfate. When you soak in an Epsom salt bath, these get into your body through your skin, helping to relax muscles and loosen stiff joints. Himalayan Pink Salt is so very pretty! But it also helps to relax, de-stress, detoxify your body. And it helps you to sleep like a baby. And what mama or friend doesn’t want to do that! Enjoy. #babyccinokids #homemadevalentines
