Last days of summer and the TULA baby carrier
Our final week of summer holiday has been a really wonderful one. I turned my phone off, stuck it in the bottom of my suitcase, and haven't checked it even once! I wanted to disconnect a bit and soak up these carefree summer days before we return to London and the kids go back to school. ...

Portable sleeper for newborns
We're visiting my husband's family in Lake Tahoe this week where the kids are having loads of fun playing with all their cousins.  My sister-in-law recently gave birth to her fourth baby, a little girl called Ruby, and we've been enjoying spending time with her and getting lots of newborn snuggle time. I can't believe Marlow ...

FlatOut Bear
Everybody who knows Ava knows her 'BearBear' -- the Flatout Bear she's been inseparable from for the first three years of her life. Everywhere she went, BearBear went! It's one well traveled bear, that BearBear... (We once nearly missed an airplane to Turkey because BearBear was left behind in the train station, and we had ...

Baby Bear Shop organic bath!
Marlow still fits in our laundry room deep sink and it's my favourite way to bathe her. No crouching over, no wasting water, and having her up at my level makes it easier to wash and rinse her. (I think it's her favourite way to be bathed too - she always points at the sink ...

The Bugaboo wool collection
Wool is known for its wonderful, temperature regulating properties. So this past summer, when it was hot and humid and sticky, I cut holes in a sheep skin and put it in my Bugaboo as a seat cover. Like this Casper was always on a soft, natural and breathable 'mattress', which kept him cool as ...

Beaba Babycook
We are big fans of the Beaba Babycook! In fact, I gave ours away a couple years ago, thinking I wasn't going to have any more babies (whoops!) ... but now that Marlow is eating solids and I'm making food for her, I just had to get a new one.  It saves time, eliminates mess, ...

Sweetcase -- baby's first essentials, all in one place
Sweetcase is a most wonderful concept started by mother of two Murielle Sitruk. When Murielle was expecting her second child, and was preparing her hospital bag, she was looking for one place where she could find the most practical and beautiful bedding and clothing for her soon to be born baby. And unsuccessfully so! Thus, ...

Manduca carrier
I have always been a huge fan of the Baby Bjorn carriers. I still have the same one we bought when our first baby was born, more than 7 years ago. I just love how simple it is -- how easy it is to put on and strap baby in. But, I must admit I've ...

Fun*das, for a quick make-over!
I'm a big fan of my Babybjörn bouncing chair, but after the extensive use by three children (plus all of their little friends) it really has seen its best days. So I was really excited to discover Fun*das, a Spanish company that makes 'prêt-à-porter' covers for mentioned bouncing chair, buggies, and car seats. How clever! All ...

New on the market: the NJOY Bubble Buggy
The two buggies we currently own have been with us since our first child was a baby. That's nearly 8 years! Our Bugaboo Frog is still in great condition (really, you can't go wrong with Bugaboo, can you?), but unfortunately I can't say the same about the light-weight umbrella stroller we got for travelling. It ...

Our Bugaboo buggy is practically vintage (nearly 7 years old!), but I must say, it has outlasted all our others and is still my favourite buggy we've owned! I am a total French pharmacy groupie. And I really thought that I knew every product available and then, recently, I stumbled upon yet another French wonder product! Linement Oleo Calcaire (I guess this translates to oil and calcium ointment) consists of only two ingredients: olive oil and calcium. The most common use for it is cleaning ...

Vicks Behind-the-ear thermometer
It's funny how medical care can be so different from country to country.  When I lived in London and asked the pharmacist for some suppositories to give to my sick baby, he literally looked at me as if I was asking him to stand on his head and sing the ABCs. Whereas here in Amsterdam, ...

Hi guys! Here Bethie and I are showing you how to prepare a super easy dish that your family will love -- a video we bring to you in cooperation with Abel & Cole, deliverer of fabulous food boxes filled to the brim with organic freshness! Here's the list of ingredients: a royal 1 tbsp of olive oil 1 butternut squash 1 red onion 2 red peppers 2 garlic cloves 4 vine tomatoes 150g quinoa sea salt & freshly ground pepper 300 ml vegetable stock 2 tbsp red wine vinegar 25g raisins 80g black olives And for the garnish: a handful of chervil feta (optional) Directions: Peel your butternut squash. Cut in half and scoop out the seeds. Chop the flesh into 1cm chunks. Peel and cut the onion into thick slices. Cut the pepper in half and scoop out the seeds and white pith. Chop into bitesized pieces. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Roughly chop the tomatoes. Rinse the quinoa under cold water to remove any bitterness. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large heavy based pan. Tip in all the veg and quinoa. Pour in the veg stock and the red wine vinegar. Add the raisins and the olives. Season with salt and pepper. Pop on a lid and cook for 30-40 mins until the squash is soft and the sauce thick. Stir every now and then during cooking. Scatter over the chervil (or flat leaf parsley leaves) and serve in warm bowls. Top with crumbled feta if you like! A super colourful, super easy and super delicious dish for taste buds of all ages! Bon appétit!
