This is such a sweet and easy little activity. Great to make all year round, but especially wonderful to give as a little Christmas gift to loved ones that you can either pop in an envelope in the post or wrap for under the tree.
I made these of my three little baby bears with leftover, reused cardboard scraps and some egg carton, scissors, a marker, and a pen. An old fashioned cameo, with a twist!
Prep your materials, and get started! Here is my setup, and my instructions are very minimal as it is all about the materials here. But as a rough guide, we cut ovals of cardboard. Then using the base of the paper egg carton, we cut out sweet bears and drew on faces with a white paint marker and pen.
I chose to change the scale from big to small so we could emphasise their family order.
Hung in the mix of other artwork, it is a really smart way to add a little detail.
