Blueberry Dump Cake — satisfyingly simple

Ready for this recipe which is easy as pie, and makes a delicious cake? 🙂 Then make room in your day for this Blueberry Dump Cake. It is literally made with ingredients dumped into a bowl, then dumped into a greased skillet, and then baked in the oven. It takes about five minutes to make and forty minutes to bake. Weekday win? We think so! We made it on holiday and it was a crowd pleaser.

Blueberry Dump Cake Ingredients :

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 pint fresh blueberries (or 2 cups)
If you have it, add fresh nutmeg and some lemon zest

Steps :

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Grease skillet well.
  3. In a large pan, (you will use it for the bowl too), melt the butter then pour in the flour, sugar and milk and whisk to combine, until no big clumps remain. Pour into the prepared skillet.
  4. Sprinkle the blueberries evenly around the top of the batter.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until edges start to turn slightly brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
