What a wonderful few days we’ve had! The ShopUp 2019 was amazing, we had such a wonderful variety of brands and boutiques joining us.

All of the stands were so, so beautiful! Every year, this event takes us immediately into the holiday spirit. Santa on stage, festive music, happy families visiting with the sweetest kids…

A big, big thanks to our wonderful sponsor Rosemood! We have fallen in love with this company, providing the most beautiful personalised photo cards, birth announcements and thank you cards. There are also posters, calendars (great Christmas gift!), and top quality photo books with your choice of a hardback cover in colour of choice, or a more magazine style softcover book. Make sure to have a look at their offering! (I’ll be sure to print the photo of Bram and me below, I love it!)

In the café this year we had Alma Deli, with delicious and super healthy plant based food. A visual and culinary treat! Pumpkin cake, bowls with beans, avocado toast, granola pears — I have tried them all! Yum!

the ShopUpWe also had great Christmas trees provided by our sponsor Tree-Ly –if you’re based in London, you can simply order a pretty tree and Pete will deliver it straight to your living room! He’s such a great guy, and how easy is his Christmas tree service?

Thank you also Fatima for providing some yummy cupcakes (which sadly were gone before I even could taste one!), and to Michele for working on our flex and baby bonding. Bram and I loved our baby yoga session!

One of the highlights of the event for me was the parenting talk with the theme ‘Cultural richness around Bringing Up Children’. Around our table we had seven mums off different cultural backgrounds, and it was amazing to hear them speak about they customs and celebrations, family traditions we inherit and build, and being openminded and curious to find out more about others, and celebrate together, in this multicultural world we live in.

Thank you so much dear AfricaFatima, Lauren, Seyi , Kim, and Amandine for joining us on the panel, and mostly to Zainab for the perfect idea of this topic, and for moderating the talk. It was SO very interesting and only the start of more to come! Zainab will write a post with a recap of the talk on our blog soon, for those of you who couldn’t join us at the event or weren’t able to follow along on Instagram.

Oh I can keep sharing photos, there are so many gorgeous ones. All taken by our friend, the talented Katrina Campbell, who has such a great eye to capture the connection and the fun. Thanks, Katrina!!

Oh, and Santa, what can we say. He came, he saw, and he conquered the hearts of children and adults alike. We are always so proud of our one and only ‘real’ Santa! He is the best!

A very big thank you also to Emilie and Amandine for coming over from Paris! And our friends Kim, Nina, and Zsophia for all of your help. (BTW, can you see in the photo above how tired I am?). And for Allie, and our team members Lara and, of course, Bethie. You all rock! Thank you!

Thank you also to all of the shops joining us from the UK, US, France, Belgium and Switzerland! And all of the lovely visitors who came to support us and the shops. It felt warm and supportive, and that’s what is most important about the ShopUp, this great community of independent brands and boutiques, helping each other and working together. Amazing! Cheers to another great ShopUp!
