Circus Sauce — the UK’s only roaming outdoor restaurant

Circus Sauce Restaurant is one of the most enjoyable family dining experiences and meals we have had in a while. Set under a tent, with long banquet style tables, the food is served family style. All items are seasonal and everything is prepared from scratch.  Supporting all the local smallholdings, loyalty boxes, farms, fishmongers, butchers and greengrocers we can find.

Circus Sauce was started in 2003, and it is the UK’s only travelling restaurant. The restaurant is housed in two magnificent showman’s wagons with a wonderful awning lined with old tapestries and grand candlelit oak tables set up with Emma Bridgewater crookery and mis-matched bone-handled cutlery. So quirky and fun.

We went to Circus Sauce after seeing Gifford’s Circus, and we can’t recommend it enough as part of the experience. It is also very fun to go before the show, if possible too.

Our meal consisted of some great English classics… Roasted Pork Belly, Hasselback Potatoes, Steamed greens in a parchment paper parcel, and the pudding course was a Rhubarb Knickerbocker Glory! How yummy it was. (Vegetarian options are also available!)

The environment comes to life, with circus performers drifting in and out, and a very merry staff too. Pretty perfect in every way.

Book in advance at this roaming restaurant and enjoy the day out. It will be sure to bring smiles to everyone’s faces of all ages. See how fun it really is.

Enjoy!
