A recap of our 2nd annual summer ShopUp in London

London – I love this city. It is pulsing with creativity and energy around every corner, and there is always something happening! This past weekend, the event that drew us all to London was our 2nd annual spring/summer ShopUp, and it was such a beautiful event!

Honestly, it was so fun and so inspiring. We talked, exchanged and laughed. We saw and bonded with old and new friends, and the shops were, as always, amazing. We are so honored to be part of such an enterprising, vibrant community. Everyone’s stall looked beautiful, so thoughtfully decorated and curated.

The early learning vocabulary programme Mrs Wordsmith was one of our great sponsors. Their fun, irreverent cards help children learn new words every day. They kindly invited their illustrators to sketch portraits  and caricatures of our guests during our press breakfast — the results were hilarious.

The organic nappy and tampon company Naty provided free nappies to our younger guests and we had an amazing creche from Entreprenursery on site keeping the little ones busy. Older children got to work on some arts and crafts projects with  Paperbirds, while their parents had a chance to discover our amazing shops and all they had in stall for them.  A serious crowd pleaser was Mr Baudruche — I have never seen anyone create balloon animals like he does!

To make sure no one walked away hungry Nanny Bill’s and La Gelatiera were on site with their delicious burgers and ice creams. Because it was a hot June day we were lucky to have free flavoured water from Honest Kids and refreshing drinks from Judes to cool us down.

Emily Quinton took beautiful family portraits, which we cannot wait to see!  And Nadine Brandt managed to capture all the lovely images you see in this post.

Thank you so much to our amazing team, our loyal readers and customers and our incredible boutiques that made this ShopUp such a special event. A special thanks also goes out to Pim, Eddie, Vivi, Charlotte, Lucie, Beatrice, Joseph and, of course Bram, who were our very efficient helpers this weekend — we had so much fun having them around. We want to do it all over again!
