Yummy tea for the entire family

teapigs, tea, tisane, peppermint liquorice tea, tea for children

It’s getting darker, wetter and chillier here in Amsterdam. Time to spend more time inside with cosy candles and big pots of tea on the table! Our children love tea as well, so I’m always on the look-out for tanine-free concoctions that we all love. The vanilla-rooibos tea from Løv has been very popular in our household, as well home made ginger/lemon/honey infusion which I swear cures all sorts of discomforts. In summer we pick fresh Moroccan mint and verveine from our garden for our tea. I’m also going to try Courtney’s (well, Michael’s) Masala Chai — it sounds perfectly warming.

A recent favourite has been the Teapigs Liquorice and Peppermint tea. I discovered it at the ShopUp in New York, where Teapigs was kindly sponsoring the event and was handing out their tea for visitors to try. I found their liquorice/peppermint tea truly delicious — very fresh because of the peppermint, and a little sweet because of the liquorice. It is also very tasty to drink cold! Do you have a favourite tanine-free tea? Please share!

Love that Teapigs tea…I went to try a sample at Shop Up NY…and kept going back for more and more – haha. Probably one of my favorite teas is this dessert one from St. James Tearoom in Albuquerque (of all places!).

It’s simply divine…which reminds me, I need to order some more! Happy tea sipping ;).
