Fall fashion from Orange Mayonaise

Orange Mayonaise is a Dutch boutique stocked to the brim with the latest kids’ fashion. With nearly one hundred amazing brands represented, this shop is a great destination if you’re looking for funky urban wear for your family! I especially like the fact that sizing goes up to 16 — perfect if you’re shopping for pre-teens like me.

Annika, the lady behind Orange Mayonaise (and mother-of-three, and freelance fashion designer), put together an outfit for Sara that I really love. Starting point was the wide Little Remix skirt our team had already spotted in her shop when the collections first came in — what a fabulous piece! Annika combined it with a simple striped shirt by Finger in the Nose and for layering, a chunky-knit gilet by fellow-Dutch label Miss Ruby Tuesday.

I think this combination works so well — it’s a very sweet and innocent look, but still cool and fashionable (she’s 11, after all). The separate items can be easily combined with other clothes, so she will get a lot of wear out of them. The skirt is perfect for the holidays, too!

Sara looks so, so beautiful! I can’t believe this big girl of ours (!!) is getting so big. She’s going to pass me in height soon! xx

This outfit is just so charming on Sara – befits her age, her coloring, and her lithe build! 💙

Love, love, love her outfit as well! So cute and at the same time so cool, girly but not over the top teenager style! If sizing goes up so far, I might even take a look for myself!
For reference, what size is Sara wearing and how tall is she? She looks so big already! And the resemblance to Tamar is uncanny, funny how genetics work…

Hi Christine, I usually get her a size 12 or 12/13 — she’s tall (1,56m I think) but mostly legs and quite skinny. I find a size 14 is usually too wide for her… xx

Yeyyyy! Finally a shop I knew already trying to scout styles for my 9 year old girl (wearing a size 12)!!! Don´t you find it is harder harder to find clothes that are age appropriate when you have super tall children who outgrow the biggest sizes in normal children brands? Please more tips!! Or please, brands, size up a bit!!!

I agree! It’s not easy to find sweet and stylish clothes that are age-appropriate but still hip and fashionable. Annika did a great job with this outfit I think!! Xx
