When we were in Le Touquet a few weeks ago we had such luck with the weather… It was seriously warm and wonderful that day. The kids were running around through the pretty parks and over the beach, there was no rush, in fact we had all the time in the world to spend with dear friends… Weekends like that will be treasured forever.
That Sunday Casper and Ava were wearing pieces from Muny, a clothing brand from Brooklyn, and they were just perfect for the occasion — comfortable, easy, and lovely. Aren’t Casper’s Khadi pants pretty? They are so well made with a full lining, and I love the pocket detail on the back. Ava is wearing the Olivia dress, an easy piece for beach, playground or birthday party alike. All of Muny’s pieces are made from natural fabrics which are made by various textile artisans in India, using ancient techniques of wood block printing, handloom weaving and hand dyeing. Very nice!

The clothes and overall outfits look beautiful! But I have to say these leather-thin soled shoes look incredibly uncomfortable – especially in the photo where the child is running on the stone steps.
I had flats that were similar design and they made my feet so tired after an hr of walking. I guess a child won’t have the same issues as a 20-something woman does.
Hi Bobbie, these are both Ava as Casper’s favourite shoes — they say they are super comfortable! 🙂
Terrible support for a child’s feet!! Those should be indoor shoes only.
Hi Rachel, I disagree — I think children’s feet should be unrestricted for as much as possible. At home, my children don’t wear shoes, maybe just slippers if it’s otherwise too cold but most of the time they’re bare foot (we have underfloor heating and we love it!). The bones in a child’s foot are still so soft, in my opinion it’s best to let them be ‘free’ — without shoes, or protected by a flexible leather layer like these moccasins (if it’s dry and warm outside). Thanks for your comment! Esther
Hiya, I would love some tips on comfortable affordable easy washing pants for a 2 year old boy. He finds jeans and chinos too restrictive and I’m so sick of tracksuit pants!!! Please if you have any ideas I would love them. I love the harem style tracksuit pant but something more stylish than thin cotton would be great. Xx maddie
Hi Maddie, they trousers Casper is wearing in the photos above are really nice — double layered cotton. Have you also looked at Macarons? These are so cool, and these are super cute too — harem style but more dressy. Gray Label also does very comfy trousers — yes, made out of jersey but so cute (Love the salopette). If you love prints, Cappies & Lanas makes cool pants (like these). Hope that helps! x
hey- i love those shoes, where are they from? i also think that barefoot is best for kids, and i know if my kids feet hurt they would let me know pronto.
