Do you ever take cookbooks to bed? I do! I just love food — eating it, preparing it, looking at it, and yes, even reading about it.
Yvestown in the Kitchen, written by Yvonne of the beautiful blog Yvestown, is the kind of cookbook which is just the perfect read. It is the combination of a cookbook, a portfolio of beautiful food styling and photography, and it shows the most gorgeous interiors of some of the writer’s enormously creative friends.
Yvestown in the Kitchen was first published in Dutch but has recently been translated to English, so if you’re looking for a nice present for a food-loving friend (or for your food-loving self!), you can now pick up a copy on Amazon (UK or US) .
Oh this looks right up my street! I love cookbooks that have a story and feature lots of kitchen and family pictures – May have to add this to my birthday wishlist 🙂 Thankyou for sharing!
I reckon you are really passionate about cooking; good to hear that the book has been translated to English. Thanks a lot for sharing.
All things I love too Esther – thank you for the tip! Your table lamp is really beautiful, could you share the make please? I’m also curious to know what serum/oil(?) you’ve got pictured?! I purchased the Estee Lauder Day Wear you recommended and it is as you’ve said a fantastic product! 🙂
Hi Michaela, sorry for the slow reply — I kept meaning to run upstairs to look at the oil, but I finally managed to do so ;). It’s the Nourishing Apricot Cuticle Oil by Cowshed, and I like to apply it on my nails in the evenings. I love the scent. The lamp is the Väte by Ikea. x
PS I’m so glad you like the Estee Lauder Day Wear — it’s so good isn’t it?
