After our recap about the Playtime fair in Paris, we’ve been asked a few times what sort of sling we’re using in the above photo. I’ve written about it before, here and here, so I won’t go into much detail, but the combi cotti sling remains my favourite baby carrier for the first months! It can be used immediately from birth (with the baby laying in a pouch-like fold), the baby can sit up in it facing in or out, it can be used as a hip carrier for toddlers and is handy to have around as blankets or play mats. It’s so much easier to put on than the complex one piece slings I find. I love having my baby close to me (plus — the babies love to be in there as well). It’s also very comfortable to wear — the weight distibution of the jersey bands is really good. I have bought our combo-cotti slings from here, it’s a Dutch website but if you have questions you can send an email to this contact email.

I had never seen these, but they look really, really comfortable! Maybe something for next time… 😉
For our twins we used the normal long wraps, which we ended up using a LOT, even in the house. And so when they started to get a bit bigger, and it started raining more often (preventing me from doing a ‘quick wrap’ on the street if one of them lost it in the stroller), we got two manduca carriers, which I adore!

Hi, as I am about to have twins too, I am curious – were you able to carry them both at the same time or did you alternate? I can’t imagine either option very vividly, I am a bit lost as I am only “used” to having one baby at a time. 🙂
Also, the link doesn’t work.
This really IS the most comfortable baby carrier. I can have Marlow in the sling for several hours and my shoulders are still okay. Where, when I have her in the Baby Bjorn, I can go about an hour before I have to take her out.
I’m so thankful to you for giving it to me when Quin was born!!! xxx
Ladies, there’s some super baby cuteness going on there! Good to see you all looking so happy and healthy x
Adorable! Where did you get that red knit hat? I am dying over how cute it is :)!
The little red/pink hat is from Bonton: http://www.bonton.fr/ (Not sure if they still have it, as it was part of their A/W collection.) xx C
Hi Esther,
Thank you so much for this information! I am going to place an order online for the Tri Cotti. Just wondering what size you bought? I am a size 10-12UK and 178 tall so was thinking the Medium, rather that the small?
[…] of just the two of us. Then both babies woke at the same time, and so we strapped them into the slings and Lindsey took a few photos of the four of us (two jet-lagged mamas with their sleepy […]
I receive a combi-cotti sling but i dont know how to use it. Please help! Thank You. I am from South Africa and i dont think that we have it here yet:0)
Hi Lidia, how fun to be the first person with a combo-cotti sling in South Africa! To use the sling, you wear the tubular pieces over your shoulders cross wise. Maybe you can figure it out from these images: https://babyccinokids.com/blog/2007/12/02/tricotti/. If not, it’s best to email the above contact and ask if they have proper instructions. Good luck, and hope you enjoy the sling! xxx
thank you ester! will have a look at the link.
