Denim skirts
I think I have had some form of denim skirt since I was about 15 (though the style I am wearing has changed a wee bit in the last few years). Coco and Violette each have a denim skirt, which possibly is the most worn article in their wardrobe. It looks cute with a top ...

Letter cushions
I don't think there is anything that spurs my younger daughter Violette on as much as wanting to be on equal footing with her big sister. Problem is, there is a massive difference between being four and being six. At six, you are in primary school and do all the things that kids at primary school ...

Knitting Christmas balls
This year I have a new obsession: I'm knitting Christmas balls! My husband gave me the book '55 Christmas Balls to Knit' by Arne & Carlos for my birthday, and after initial scepticism about the exercise (I mean -- knitting Christmas balls??), I have now finished my first ball and totally got the hang of ...

Käthe Kruse dolls
This past summer, Ava finally started to trot around with her baby, which we gave her for her first birthday last year. It's a Käthe Kruse doll and I keep thinking how pretty it is: old-fashioned looking, and beautifully made with hand-painted eyes and hair. So cute. It also has very easy-to-move limbs, so sitting her ...
