Auggie Bedding Collection

I don’t know where to start! The Auggie Home Collection is gorgeousness to the nth degree. Everything about it appeals to me — the sweet designs, the fresh colour palette, the quality of the cottons, and all the mix & match ensembles of bedding, quilts, bumpers, shams, etc. I get giddy just thinking about all the different options!

I’m thinking about sprucing up our rather tired-looking baby sheets and bedding and getting some sweet things from Auggie. (I already have one of their printed quilts and I love it!).

I love this bedding, i bought the fern heart fitted sheet (suitable for both boys and girls and am thinking about buying a quilt mainly as a play mat really. But i was wondering what the general feeling about bumpers was, use them or not. I used one for my son as he kept sticking his limbs through the cot bars, but with the cot death horror stories surrounding them i am slightly unsure about using them this time.

I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding cot bumpers, but I personally have always used them. I think it depends on the bumpers (some are super puffy and frilly and others are very simple, thin and effective). My babies always used a dummy, and I found that cot bumpers kept the dummies from falling out of the bed, and kept everything snug inside.
Obviously it is such a personal choice what you should and shouldn’t do for your baby. I also slept some of my babies on their tummies because they just soooo preferred it that way… and I know that is very much discouraged for cot death reasons. I think it’s up the the individual parent to decide what is best for their baby.

How darling!! I love that mustardy yellow color.

As far as bumpers, I used them, mainly because one of my daughters preferred to sleep with an appendage sticking out of her crib. She would scoot and really wedge herself in between the bars, to the point where I practically climbed in to wiggle her free. Not comfortable for either one of us. Bumpers were the answer for us! But may not be for everyone.
