Do you ask your children to take off their shoes when they enter the house? It wasn’t a rule for me when I was a kid (unless I wore my wellies), nor was it a common thing in other households. Even still, adults won’t take off their shoes when they step inside a house here in the Netherlands, so I don’t ask my grown-up guests, but I do ask kids (visitors and mine) to throw their shoes in a basket next to the front door when they enter. My kids and I always wear slippers in my house — it’s so much more comfortable, and hygienic, I feel!
Collegien is a French brand with the most wonderful slippers imaginable. I love these slippers for my kids, so cute and easy! There are many great designs and models — how cute are the short summer ballet flats in the bright colours and happy stripes. Adult sizes are also available, so you can treat your husband to a pair (it’s Father’s Day soon), and you probably could use a pair for yourself as well! These slippers are also great for babies who are just starting to walk — warm, comfy, and anti-slip.
Don’t you love all those sweet designs?

I am IN LOVE with the ballet flat slippers for summer. I want a pair for all of us!
To Courtney: I am so happy to hear that you like our designs! Plenty of nice shops in London sell COLLEGIEN but you can also find them online: http://en.collegien-shop.com/! Enjoy 🙂
To Selena: Thanks Selena! You have a great taste: the strips are one of our best selling models! Maybe because it goes with everything!
To Polly: Good information! Maybe it should be interesting to develop the product in Asia 😉 We will definitely think about it! Meanwhile, we are selling online http://en.collegien-shop.com/
To Kira: we have the same habit in France… I also think it is safest! That is why we developed a sole that does not slip on any floor, even stone or wood floors!
To Marion: I am pleased to see that you and your family are happy with our designs!
To Gabrielle: because the sole is made in the best material, you can wear the COLLEGIEN’s designs outside during dry days. The ballet flat as especially good to be worn at the beach when climbing in the rocks or swimming in the sea. And as it is machine washable at 30°, if it becomes dirty, you just have to put them in the washing machine! But as they have a breathable sole, if the weather is wet, you will also become wet…! So that is the reason why it is mainly slipper socks 🙂
Awww, they’re really sweet…love the stripes!

I know it’s different everywhere. I’m Asian…totally unheard of to NOT take off your shoes when you enter a home. Shoes are dirty. We don’t want to make a mess inside. At our place, we all HAVE TO take our shoes off. Hence we always buy slippers 🙂 thanks for the recommendation.
I am in the uk and we ask all of our guests to take off their shoes. My kids and I always change into slippers in the entrance hall. I think it’s safer for kids to wear slippers in house, especially when they are tearing around, it does help prevent painful broken toes.
Collegien slippers are a favourite around our house. I even have a pair and they’re so comfy. Perfect for kids as the sole is breathable (so no nasty smells!) and you can thrown them in the washing machine and they are as good as new!
I wonder if they can wear the ballet slippers outdoors? anyone know? love the colours.
Hi Gabrielle, see comment above — yes, you can!! (On dry days!) xxx
