This weekend we made it to Obliteration Room at the Tate Modern and my kids loved it so much they’re still talking about it. What a cool idea! The Obliteration Room is the kid’s section of the bigger exhibition by Yayoi Kusama — the dot loving Japanese artist. It started out as a completely white room and then they allowed kids to come in and place colourful dot stickers wherever and however they chose.
It was interesting to watch my kids with their sheets of stickers. My daughter stuck all the stickers on her face, my son kept asking to put them on the ceiling, and my oldest went around creating crazy cyclops monster faces on the floor. What a fun activity (it’s on until the 18th of March)!

We’re heading there this weekend 🙂 To the Brisbane one! The room is SO amazing now it’s all covered, we never saw it when it was white, it’s amazing!

Such cute pics!! :)) We went over the half-term too – it was absolutely amazing!! Did you go upstairs to the actual exhibition too? It was the first exhibition where all three of my daughters gasped at each room we walked in to and were completely entranced – they all walked out saying “WOW”! In the past when we’ve ‘attempted’ to take them to exhibitions (especially the 3 year old!) they have been more interested in visiting the shop but this really captured their imaginations!
I can’t wait to check out this exhibition and the room – I imagine the boys will go nuts in there. Fab photos.
Elias and Grace, we go there a lot and have bought a lot of items for DD this winter, surprised i haven’t seen it in the shop. Now all the kids summer ranges have been released do you think babychino or you could do like a capsule wardrobe for kids like one for boys and one for girls. Like a post showing the clothes to buy.
I think the dress Ivy’s wearing was from the Winter collection, so it probably won’t be in store any longer. But Bonton always does dresses in that same shape, so keep an eye out.
And I love the idea of a capsule collection for boys and girls. It’s a tough one though -there’s lots of great things out there. But I’ll give it a go and see if I can come up with something worth sharing. Thanks for the idea.

Paris- London eurostar? Looks like it might just be worth a trip! Oh what a false joy: I just realized the dates won’t work because we heading state side in a week and will return too late.
