Une Sardine a Rio

I recently discover the French brand and boutique Une Sardine à Rio, and I instantly became a big, huge, fat fan. Justine, the super talented and sweet designer and brains behind the brand, comes up with clothes that are truly ingenious but always amazingly beautiful. Tuniques become skirts, dresses become tops, the pieces evolve as the child grows: they adjust and change model accordingly. There are even pieces that mother and daughter can share! Silk ribbons that can be interchanged to add a different colour to an outfit can be tied or loosened, pieces can be worn front or backwards — it’s all so clever! But best of all — everything looks absolutely darling on! The fabrics used are all natural and organic, fair trade or recycled. The clothes are sustainable and made in a small workshop in the south of France, or even by hand by Justine herself.

Check out the boutique (there’s a sale on now!).

Wonderful brand indeed! I also discovered this French label not so long ago. Great concept to reuse clothes in other ways to create equally striking but different pieces ! Love it
