The Boy Who Bit Picasso

June 10, 2011

A friend gave this book to my son for his birthday this year, and we have since caught ‘Picasso fever’. The book is a true story about a little boy who knew Picasso personally (his parents were friends with Picasso) and it offers a child’s perspective and understanding of the artist. It’s educational in a really appealing way for kids (and even adults) and is one of those brilliant books every child should have… so put it on your birthday gift list and pass on the joy. (Available from the Babyccino Kids bookstore — US and UK.)

Courtney gave my kids this book and it’s wonderful. Picasso was one of the talented artists ever, and this book is a beautiful way to educate kids about him. xxx

I love your book recommendations but it would be so much more helpful if you added age suggestions too. I’ve bought a few online & over half have been way too old for my daughter.

Hi Jade,
Thanks so much for your comment. And for the tip to leave age suggestions for the books. It’s a great idea! I’ll do that from now on.
And for this book, I would suggest it’s best for children 4 years and older.
