We live in a relatively small flat in Paris, and because it’s…well…Paris, we tend to get a lot of guests visiting from all over the world. Sometimes the flat resembles a camping ground (minus the s’mores), and while it is a lot of fun, we do sometimes struggle to find space to fit everyone in.

My friend Carla, one of the most practical people I know, lent us her girl’s blow-up bed and it is a great little invention. It lives in a small bag when it is not being used and comes with a little pump. The sleeping bag is built in, so even smaller kids don’t roll out. It is not the cutest thing I have ever seen, but sometimes content overrules style. I got ours from the French Vertbaudet site, but I have also found similar beds on this UK website.
