Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree

We are all officially in the holiday spirit in my house. Our tree is up, stockings are hung, Christmas music is always on, and every night we read a Christmas book before bed. Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree is one of our favourites — it’s a Christmas classic (first published in 1963) and is such a cute little rhyming story.  It’s about Mr. Willowby’s tree which arrived by special delivery… but it was too big for his parlour, so he cuts off the top and gives it to his maid Adelaide… but it’s too big for her room so she trims off the top… and on it goes to several new recipients. Cute.

It’s available from our bookstore (US and Europe).
