Tastespotting

Yesterday afternoon I was surfing the internet a bit, looking for a recipe for Strawberry Blueberry Ricotta Muffins (do you happen to have a good one??), and I came across Tastespotting. Do you know it yet? Such a great idea!! I really eat with my eyes, and this website does get me SO inspired! The heck with blueberry muffins; what do you think of Carrot Applesauce Muffins, or Honey Oat Muffins, or, why not, Squash Blossom Muffins? Ok, that’s it — I’ve got muffins to make!

That is exactly what I thought… how did you get it in your head to make strawberry, blueberry ricotta muffins?
Did you make them, by the way? They sound delicious.

This is a great site! Everything looks delicious! Sometimes it’s best just to see what the finished product looks like and go from there.

OK, so the idea from blueberry, strawberry, ricotta muffins came straight from the fridge — they were in there!
In the meantime, I found out that you’re technically not allowed to use strawberries in muffins because they contain too much water. However, I can tell you that I did make strawberry blueberry ricotta muffins, using this recipe where I used 2 cups of fresh strawberries in quarters and half a cup of blueberries instead of the frozen berries, and where I left out the butter because I completely forgot. AND THEY WERE HEAVENLY!!!!!
