In the same line of thought of getting our daughter a train track for her second birthday, we recently got our 3-year-old boy his own doll. I mean, we don’t want to be forcing a love of trains or dolls on our children while they’re possibly equally inclined to play with the other, do we?
After some research I found him this adorable boy doll to play with. It came with a terrific set of cool looking clothes, so cute, and of great quality (I would dress my baby into them would they fit).
Both are from Blabla, a lovely company not yet very known in Europe, but hopefully not for long. Blabla has a wonderful selection of dolls in different shapes and sizes (all equally lovely), mobiles, clothes and blankets. All the products are hand knitted by Peruvian artisans and absolutely adorable in their design. Take for instance this guy Watson, how cool is he? Perfect for a little boy’s bedroom. Or these darling backpacks — my boy would LOVE that lion!!

We love BlaBla toys. Our daughter has Lollie and Buzz and we have given many of the other characters to friends when they have a baby. I wish they were more readily available in the UK, as I know our daughter would love some of the dolls clothes. At the moment Lollie is wearing a tutu Charlotte had when she was a baby.
So cool. Quin would love this!
BlaBla makes great dolls/lovies! Really beautifully made and sooooo soft :). I didn’t know they had these ones with clothes…
Sorry for the shameless plug but this post caught my eye in particular as we have a rather large box of bla bla goodies right here at Mash n Gravy just waiting to be uploaded to the site. As far as I know we are the only outlet in the UK to stock the brand at the moment, however, the search is on for a UK agent, therefore they should be more widely available soon. As well as the dolls we have, dream rings, mobiles and backpacks.
I have searched everywhere in the Uk for an online bla bla retailer. Used to
buy these as pressies for friends with new babies and now we live on the South Coast, very difficult to get hold of. Please help looking for the sock monkey range. They make the best gifts for new arrivals.
The Cross in Holland Park west London now stock these beautiful knitted dolls. Large selection available and perfect for Christmas!!
Just going on your post, I’ve ordered Charlie for my son, Victor. He’s only 8 months old, but I want him to grow up used to dolls.
Lovely! After seeing this I think I’ll get Charlie for my 2 yr old daughter. (+ I’ve posted it on the Tootsa MacGinty facebook page!)
