Win! Inke’s Beautiful Wallpaper Birds

birds_inkeVery recently I wrote about how we decorated our children’s new room with a wonderful wallpaper tree from Inke Heiland.  Inke’s silhouettes are made from exquisite vintage wallpaper and will instantly spruce up every kid’s room.
These birds come in a set of 2 with a bag of wallpaper glue attached, so the only thing you need is a bit of time on your hands and a cute place for the birds to go.  But that shouldn’t be too difficult — they’re for instance very cute on top of a cabinet, or a curtain rail, or a light switch…

Do you think you could find a good spot for a set of birds?  Great!  Because Inke is very kindly offering TEN sets of handmade, vintage birds to TEN lucky readers!
Just leave your comment below by Sunday, March 14th and we’ll pick a winner at random.
Good luck!!

xxx Esther

P.S. Colours and patterns will be chosen randomly.

I fell in love with Inke’s truly stunning designs a couple of years ago when I saw the amazing pink floral vintage wallpaper giraffe which I soon realised was the same design that I had in my bedroom in the 70’s for my duvet cover and curtains (made me feel almost ‘vintage’ myself!). My daughter loves her giraffe and has even named her! The birds would look amazing in my son’s bedroom or equally fab sitting above a shelf in my room!!

March 3, 2010

Dear Esther, and Birdies, and Inke,

Your offer is making me think-a
How my life’s not complete
Cuz my son’s room don’t tweet
Nor conjure up memories of grandma!

It’s making me sigh
These birds that don’t fly
But who roost over Legos and diapers.

We’ll give them a home!
The fair birds of this poem,
They’ll sing to my son and be happy.

In fact they’d feel be best,
Here in OUR little nest,
(It’s not for me that I ask, but for birdies.)

Romain

March 6, 2010

This is a wonderful idea! We have had to move every 6 month to a year for the last three years due to the economy and my husband continually getting transfered. Something like these birds would be great from my children’s room. I have a 2 year old girl and 3 year old boy that share a room. Wall paper idea’s like this could be recreated where ever we live. Giving them a sense that their room stays the same even if there life’s are continually changing.
GREAT IDEA’S sara

March 6, 2010

March 7, 2010

(bis)
