Quality People
I am very impressed by the new label Quality People and their cute and super soft T-shirt and tops for children. The label was started by Kellie, an LA fashion designer who relocated to Paris. After having kids she decided to rethink her approch toward fashion and tried to produce clothes that make a difference. She ...

The Lunchbox
Unlike the UK and France, where I've been told kids get a warm and nutritious lunch at school, here in the Netherlands we send our children to school with the traditional lunchbox. Every morning I find myself in the kitchen preparing sandwiches for Pim and Sara, with some cold sides like fruit, cheese or vegetables ...

If only my daughter still let me dress her!  Isn't this little jumpsuit totally gorgeous? It is by sweet Aussie brand fabric from a shop called TinyPeople .  Tiny People is in the eclectic town of Byron Bay on the far north coast of NSW.  Byron Bay is quite a hippie little town. Think 'bohemian cool' ... locals ...

Date Reminder Calendar from Flora Douville
I'm usually so good at remembering birthdays and other important dates, but lately I've been slipping! (Does 'baby brain' ever go away? I hope so!) Anyway, I just bought myself this Date Reminder Calendar by French artist, Flora Douville, and I'm really hoping it will help. Isn't it beautiful? I'm going to hang this in ...

A guide to staying warm
When I was about 25, I suddenly had a big revelation: I was standing at a bus stop in London on a very cold winter's day and realised that maybe for the first time ever I was warm -- I was actually wearing sensible clothing! It was a big milestone in my journey to becoming ...

Last Minute Christmas Craft -- wall panels
These wall panels were quickly made with my kids -- just using pieces of an old sheet, some fabric scraps and Fabric Mod Podge. I did the cutting for my 3-year old, but my 5-year-old was able to do everything herself! After drying we glued the sheet around a piece of cardboard and voila, some stylish ...

Super skinny jeans...
My daughter inherited my long and skinny legs. Now, I understand that long and skinny legs shouldn't be complained about, but most women know that there's a downside to everything (am I not right, curvy girls?). Well, the downside to having long and skinny legs is that it's very hard to find long and skinny ...

Jamie at Winter Wonderland
As children are starting to break up from nurseries, kindergartens and schools for the Christmas holidays, a typical London holiday attraction to visit is Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We went last weekend and whilst crazy busy I was really impressed with the fairground -- lots of really beautiful old-fashioned fairground rides, mixed up with ...

Cape by Deluna Kids
My girls love to dress up so much that if they get a chance they will play 'dress-up' before actually getting dressed in the morning. Fun as it may be, most of the dress-up clothes they have are not really very practical for everyday use. This is one of the reasons my eldest daugther, Coco, ...

He saw the forests come alive with ...

Tamar Mogendorff
This moose head (it is a moose, isn't it?) I am desperate to acquire. Well...desperately hoping to acquire that is as I haven't yet investigated matters of cost. I think it will look gorgeous on the blank wall above my son's bed (provided it doesn't inspire nightmares, mind you). New York-based, Israeli-born Tamar Mogendorff is the mega-talented artist behind this and ...

Lille Barn Hat, Scarf and Mittens
I was talking to a Swedish person the other day and she told me that 'there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing'... meaning if you want to survive the cold, just dress for it. I'm taking this advice literally this year, which is why you'll find me constantly wearing my wool ...

Titlee Jewelry
I think there are two schools of thought regarding jewelry -- mine and my daughters'. Hi guys! Here Bethie and I are showing you how to prepare a super easy dish that your family will love -- a video we bring to you in cooperation with Abel & Cole, deliverer of fabulous food boxes filled to the brim with organic freshness! Here's the list of ingredients: a royal 1 tbsp of olive oil 1 butternut squash 1 red onion 2 red peppers 2 garlic cloves 4 vine tomatoes 150g quinoa sea salt & freshly ground pepper 300 ml vegetable stock 2 tbsp red wine vinegar 25g raisins 80g black olives And for the garnish: a handful of chervil feta (optional) Directions: Peel your butternut squash. Cut in half and scoop out the seeds. Chop the flesh into 1cm chunks. Peel and cut the onion into thick slices. Cut the pepper in half and scoop out the seeds and white pith. Chop into bitesized pieces. Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Roughly chop the tomatoes. Rinse the quinoa under cold water to remove any bitterness. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large heavy based pan. Tip in all the veg and quinoa. Pour in the veg stock and the red wine vinegar. Add the raisins and the olives. Season with salt and pepper. Pop on a lid and cook for 30-40 mins until the squash is soft and the sauce thick. Stir every now and then during cooking. Scatter over the chervil (or flat leaf parsley leaves) and serve in warm bowls. Top with crumbled feta if you like! A super colourful, super easy and super delicious dish for taste buds of all ages! Bon appétit!
