Theme Week: Win a Billy Rocker!

billy rockerWhen it comes to simple ideas, these cool Billy Rockers take the cake.  They’re not just fun ride-along toys, but also a craft project/design challenge. With a little paint, crayons, stickers, etc. you can customize the rockers into anything you wish: a rocking horse, dragon, dolphin, unicorn, etc.

The Billy Rocker is made from recycled cardboard, is sturdy enough to hold a hefty 50Kg and comes flat-packed in a box ready for easy assembly. Simple but WAY cool!

In keeping with our ‘simple living’ theme this week, we’re giving away one of these rockers! Just leave a comment below with your best tip/idea for simple living, and the best comment will win!

Good luck!

P.S.  A big congrats to Mai from North Carolina, USA who won the last give-away: the beautiful necklace with choice of birthstones from Prismera Design.

My tip for simple living? Once a quarter review your calendar/commitments and audit the importance of the activities that fill your days. Sometimes it’s best to say no or back out of activities done out of guilt. Easier said than done. Now I hope I win that awesome billy rocker! 🙂

Wow, my kids would ADORE this!

My tip for simple living – don’t fill your time (and kids’ schedules) with things that, in the end, really don’t matter: too much preschool, too many playdates, too many errands to run…those things NEVER end. Make sure there is some free time to just BE. My kids love a free morning where we can decide what we’d like to do that day – go to the park? the museum? stay at home and snuggle while watching cartoons? make homemade playdough or create a tent in the living room? My kids won’t always want my company, so I’ve decided to treasure it while they do.

This is just adorable. I think my daughter and her cousins would have such fun together building and decorating and then playing with the Billy Rocker.

My idea for simple living: to make a doll house, or an animal farm, or a car parking, out of a cardboard box.

You can decorate it with your children and have lots of fun, and quality time together while you are doing it!!!

There’s no limit to imagination: you can paint it, stamp it, collage it… your imagination will flourish while you are making it together, and you will see how much you’ll learn from your children ideas!!

An idea from cardboard deserves to win a cardboard rocker don’t you think?!! hehe!!!

Live in the moment!

Quit watching so much TV. Its much easier for my family to live simply when we cut back on watching TV. Advertisers are wonderful at telling us what we need and what we should be doing. I’ve found that all the products they promote, often to make my life “simpler,” really just cause a lot of headaches and stress for me. Its all too easy to get sucked into needing “stuff.”
