This winter, yellow is my colour of choice. And not the bright, 80’s in-your-face yellow, but that beautiful, deep, warm, mustardy yellow. Like my daughter’s new winter coat!
It comes from the Hucklebones‘ debut collection, and is possibly the most beautiful little girl’s coat I have ever seen. As I already pointed out the colour is exquisite, but the choice of materials is also amazing. The coat is made out of a lovely, thick and warm Italian wool of the best quality, and lined in a beautiful 100% silk with a pretty print! The model is perfect — I am a sucker for nostalgic clothes, and I think coats especially should have that ‘old-fashioned’ feel to it. This coat is totally up my alley — but my daughter is also really fond of it (agreed, the most important part) as it is very warm and supple and comfortable to wear. And she gets loads and loads of compliments, which, like any self-respecting woman, she loves!

I also got my daughter one of the little frill neck silk blouses, which is lovely and will be perfect for Christmas. It is hand printed with a cute berry print, custom designed for Hucklebones. (And I’ve got my eyes on the light blue Chambray shirt dress, which I know will bring out the blue of my daughter’s eyes even more…)

The Hucklebones collection is currently only available in size 2-4 years, but they have told me they’re going to expand their sizing soon! (Great, because before long my daughter will be a size 5!) And who knows, maybe there’s going to be a little boys’ collection at some point?
