LONDON

Traditional Toys

Traditional ToysTucked in a corner of the historic Chelsea Green off the King’s Road, and on a charming street amidst other lovely shops, is a small but perfectly stocked toy shop called Traditional Toys.  Here you can find the very best brands of wooden toys, designer dolls, stuffed bears, dress-up clothes, and other specialty European toys.

Traditional Toys is my favorite toy shop in London. This is where I go whenever I need a birthday gift because I know it will be unique, special and well-made — something that will last forever. It is here where I buy all the Schleich animals (even the big ones like whales and dinosaurs), Fagus vehicles, wooden trains, and Plan Toys pieces, etc. I even bought a bug catcher kit there which was a huge hit this past summer!

Another bonus about this toy shop is that it’s a block away from one of my favorite little parks/playgrounds in SW London, St. Luke’s Park. So you can take a break from all the nearby shopping and let the kids run loose!

I thought I’d add since we’re talking toy shops in London.. My favourite place to get small little things (especially christmas stocking fillers) is After Noah on Upper Street in Islington, they have a lovely range of quirky grown ups gifts too.. http://www.afternoah.com/category/32/Toys_Games

I walked into this shop the other day. I had thought it was closing down however i was wrong it has just been buy by a new owner. The shop looks amazing compared to what it used to, it has clouds on the ceiling and theirs actully space to walk in there now. The new owner has given the shop a modern twist with its looks and also the toys in it. I loved the place and the ower was really friendly

I grew up here!! I take my daughter to that playground and to the lovely kids library on first floor in town hall if raining. Round the corner is Bobo Kids which has some lovely stuff too – its where I discovered numero 74 – worth a visit, as well as Amaia and Jojo Maman Bebe
