Corolle dolls

Corolle DollBecause I have two boys you would think I couldn’t possibly know what I’m talking about when it comes to baby dolls, BUT…  My boys discovered a stash of my sister’s old baby dolls in a closet at my dad’s house, and now they’re hooked!  Twenty years on, these dolls are still in good shape, still cute, and still totally lovable.  Why? Because they are the famous Corolle Dolls.

This French doll company has been making award-winning baby dolls since 1979. The dolls are now sold in more than 29 countries across the world, and in my opinion are better than anything else out there.

Aside from the superior quality and look of the dolls, I just love how many options there are.  Corolle makes dolls in many sizes and forms; you can buy bald ones or babies with hair, and if you want a soft-bodied doll that can go in the bath tub, they also make those!  My favorite ones are the 12-inch Bebe Do dolls.  No hair, soft body, and oh-so cute!  They also make loads of accessories, including blue outfits… just in case you would rather your son carry around a baby in blue instead of pink!

Available from Amazon US or UK .

Ah yes, they are sweet. We have lots of dolls and accessories and I must say, lately I’ve been considering buying my son his own…so his sister doesn’t go after him when he takes hers. I get funny looks and I’ve had funny conversations on this topic…similarly, is it ok for boys to push toy prams? My son loves them! We have 4 (3 from before he was born). So he gets his fill. But I’ve had friends come over and discourage their boys from playing with them. Don’t all kids love to push toys, be it a pram or a vaccuum or what have you? I personally think it’s fine.

I agree, Amanda! I think there’s nothing at all wrong with a boy having a baby doll or pushing a stroller. It just shows that they’re loving and caring (and like to push things)… and those are definitely qualities I hope my boys will have forever!

My son pushes prams all the time! With dolls in them!
So what?
My husbands pushes prams too! With babies in them!

my son loved his toy stroller (and we managed to find a green one, so we avoided pink) but he never warmed to the doll we got him.
Maybe we should have given him a Corolle doll….

Over here Corolle sells baby boy dolls, I guess they saw lots of boys playing with their sisters doll and filled the gap in the market!
