School Memories Book

School Years memory bookMy four siblings and I each have a ‘school memories’ book filled with tokens from our school years (class photos, report cards, teacher assessments, health reports), and pages and pages of memories. For every school year, each of us had to fill out a page of questions like ‘who’s your best friend?’, ‘what’s your favorite subject?’, ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’, etc. My mom pasted our class photo to the designated spot, and filled in our age, weight, and height for every year up to 18 years old. These books are a wonderful keepsake for the five of us, and it is hilarious to read back through them. (Can you believe I wanted to be a horse-back rider when I grew up)?!

I think it’s such a cool idea to have one book for each child’s school documents and memories. It keeps everything organized by year, and is a fun way to get your kids to write down their favorite things, etc. I remember looking forward to filling out the pages each year!

I had a quick look online, and it seems that there are several books that do this sort of thing. This School Years Memory Book is my favorite! It’s cute and it has all the same features that ours had: spiral binding, expandable pockets on each page, and a place to write down your kids’ favorite friends, hobbies, subjects, teachers, etc.

I currently have a baby one but would like to continue this when my daughter starts school. I really like this one from Australia.

Your mom was very organised to both purchase the book and keep track of it through the years! I have a few years before my little one is in school, but hopefully I can also be this organised as it sounds like a great keepsake.
