(Not just) Weekender Bags

April 28, 2008

ZPM Weekender BagOur first year in London (before children) we travelled everywhere. We were literally away almost every weekend making the most of our proximity to the rest of Europe. It seemed like we were always unpacking our suitcases only to pack them up again!

Travelling like that is obviously a luxury, but it gets a bit annoying to pack and unpack your cosmetic bag over and over again, making sure not to forget any little beauty or medical item you just might need while away.

I decided that what I needed was a cosmetic bag that would keep all my essentials in it at all times, travelling or not! The solution? The ZPM Weekender Bag. It’s big enough to hold everything, folds down small enough to fit into my suitcase or my bathroom cupboard, and when unfolded can hang from a hook with everything on display.

ZPM Weekender Bag openedEven though we aren’t travelling like we used to, I still keep all my cosmetic items permanently in this bag. I just unfold it when I need it and hang it on my hook, then fold it back up when I’m finished. With five different pockets, it keeps everything organized, helps my cupboards to be clutter-free, and ensures that I never forget anything when I do travel. I just toss my weekender bag into my suitcase, and voilà!

You can buy them in loads of different patterns and materials. I’m a bit boring (or practical) because I have the black vinyl one, which is easy to wipe clean!

I just love it!

Brilliant. I’m always digging my toiletries up from the bottom of my vanity bag, where Courtney un-rolls hers and voila, all organized and in eye-sight!

ZPM also does great bibs that have a plastic layer. They’re great for being out and about as they roll/fold up small and are easy to wipe down. They can lie flat or be snapped up partially to form a catchall pocket. And they come in cute patterns

I have got the same one (except I opted for the very girly pink). I keep it fully stocked with samples and small bottles so I don’t even have to think about packing toiletries, I just throw it in my bag.

Liska, I have seen those bibs around! They seem so handy – thanks for the tip!
