Super scissors

Joyce Chen ScissorsMy mom, who is addicted to kitchen utensils, has all of the ‘best’ kitchen products. So you know if she recommends something for your kitchen, it’s sure to be good.

A few years ago, ‘Santa’ gave me these Joyce Chen scissors in my stocking, and they came highly recommended. Apparently, they can cut through anything, including chicken bones, lobster shells, thick flower stems, rubber, and even a penny (though I’ve never tried that one).

They are one of my favorite kitchen utensils– after accidentally throwing out the first pair with a bunch of flower stems, I just had to buy myself a new pair. They’re small, slim, comfortable (with soft, flexible handles), and very powerful.

At the risk of sounding like my mother, this is one kitchen utensil you should definitely have!

Speaking of favorite kitchen utentils, my most favorite ones in the Garlic Twist. It’s the perfect way to mince garlic without having your fingers smell for days.

These scissors are so cool, and I can’t find them anywhere in Europe. Isn’t it weird, that some things American are simply unavailable in Europe?? Why would that be?

Courtney ~ I love these scissors! I headed straight to Gretchens after reading about Joyce Chen scissors. After years of using whatever I could find to cut things with I am now in Joyce Chen heaven! I even got a pair for my “impossible to buy presents for neighbor” and he loves them too!
Thanks ladies for all your fun ideas! It just makes me want to go shopping.
