Since we all live in relatively small spaces in big, expensive cities, storage is constantly an issue. We certainly don’t have enough storage space in our flat, so we’ve really had to be innovative…
One of the most clever (and cool) storage options in our home is the Karmameju Storage Cushion. It is essentially a fabric cover meant to store your spare duvet or extra pillows. When stuffed, it is a stylish lounge cushion (or bean-bag) to place anywhere in your house. My kids lie on it when watching movies, but even when it’s not being used, it just looks cool sitting there.
We have two spare duvets in our cover and they fit perfectly. The fabric is a thick water-resistant material (which is handy when you have kids), and the quality is superb. The cover also has a handle on it, so you can take it with you when you are going out of town (maybe a bit more handy if you don’t have kids)!
Karmameju is a Danish company (of course, right?) and they make the most beautiful products, including home wear, blankets, indoor and outdoor products, etc. Have a look at the website– it just has a very sexy, cool feeling to it.
You can’t buy their products from the website, but you can buy them from Design Me, or you can check for retailers near you.
I love, love our cushion. Even with a drooling baby and a messy-faced toddler lounged on top of it!
Courtney has currently only one spare duvet in her Karmameju storage cushion as I’m using the other one, sleeping as a goddess on her Milano sofa bed 🙂
Courtney, thank you!
I’ve been staring at our spare duvet stuffed into a black bin bag, standing in a corrner of our bedroom for weeks wondering where I can store it. Wonder what else I could stuff in them? How many cushions can a living room take do you think?
That is such a wonderful idea! I’m going to get one of those- it looks fantastic and it’ll free up loads of space in my closet. Hurra, I can buy shoes again!
Hey there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after browsing through some of the post I realized it’s new to me. Anyways, I’m definitely glad I found it and I’ll be book-marking and checking back frequently!
