Two reasons to celebrate… Today is Mother’s Day here in the UK (hooray!), and it’s finally March (oh thank God)! Both occasions have me thinking about flowers, spring, gardening, and time outside!
I was at a friend’s house yesterday and she had the most amazing flower display on her table. A very beautiful planted basket (sort of like a bucket) with lovely spring-like flowers. She got it at Daylesford Organic on Pimlico Road. Apparently they have an impressive (and beautifully designed) garden shop selling similar planted baskets and bouquets. They also have an organic café and bakery across from the shop where you can dine in style on their award-winning food (also sold at Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Whole Foods, Planet Organic, etc.). And they also have a kid’s menu.
After seeing their flower arrangements today and having a look at the photos on their website, I am sure I will love it.
Esther– you’re coming to London soon… maybe we should pay a visit when you’re here??
Happy (UK) Mother’s Day, and cheers to March!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!
Oh I absolutely love flowers and if I could, i would have fresh ones all over my house! Hope you had a happy mothers day. Seeing as I am in the states, I have to wait until may 🙂
Lucky me, living in flower country! I LOVE flowers, and – not very original – but tulips are my favourite!
BTW, I would LOVE to go! 🙂
